It's learning the mechanics, and knowing how to counter this, and that, and what to do in this situation or that situation. It's no different than chess. Playing your toon to it's full potential. As I said, there's people making more than both of any of our parents combined playing computer games because of how good they are.

I have never been in an arena team @ endgame. Not saying that I'm BiS #1 @ twinking either, but I see myself decent. Meaning endgame rating doesn't have to be a way to measure skill.

But you're looking at this wrong. There's this good team, that is known to be good at the game, and they have a high rating. The ONLY way you can get higher rating than them, is to beat them, as you don't gain rating from a team with lower mmr. Thus: You have to have more skill than they do to achieve higher ratings. The only way to measure skill is through rating. Every other way is simply just hearsay, and a look at how they play. BUT, if they were the best, they would be able to achieve higher rating than this or that person.

Rating takes out opinions on skill, and implements a "prove it".

EDIT: This is how many r1 teams hold their spot for titles. They stop queing, so they don't que into the r2 team, so that they cannot gain rating. It's looked down upon, but has been done every season since the beginning of arenas.

Yes rating indicates how good you are to play with your team in arena. It doesn't show if your good at teaming up with a 10m premade, in order to return a flag, defend a flag, or control the midfield

RBGs have been discussed at MANY high end websites, like arena junkies and skill-capped, and RBGs cannot measure skill. 3v3 is the most balanced way to determine skill, which is why it's the only professional aspect of the game, and ever was. Professional meaning you get paid for competing in tournaments doing it.

EDIT: I'm done. This has turned into an argument with people that have admitted to having 90s, and admitted to never doing any arenas, specifically competitively. To summarize my entire side of this, there is no way to determine skill at 20, and until rating is implemented, we will never be able to gauge anyone's skill.

I don't think arena is useful to test skill, nor do I think BG is the best way. I don't think there is one lone way to fully test if a player is 'skilled'. Again I'd say you would have to test every aspect of the game

just because people earn money out of it don't make it a "skill" . look at prostitution :p

and that's just how broken the rating system in wow is. one team gears up quicker than the other, and sits r1 by doing nothing... all that would need to be implemented is, if a team is afk for X amount of time they lose rating.

Cripzblood every1 knows you're leaving games at last sec to increase your ratio, you're only fooling yourself.

Dasha everyone knows u only play bgs with premades to increase your ratio, you're only fooling yourself.

not exactly the same thing bro. ive witnessed your afk before lose plenty of times.

having the option to pug or group queue is what the difference between your pathetic attempt to "look good" and dasha.

Its normal that u have seen me afk, cuz vs aggramar healing premades or ur 24premades i ussually afk cuz game is not enjoyable especially if my team is full of jajas, but atleast i try to win till the end.

Premading is same cuz ur also polishing ur ratio but with faceroll style.

U think i pug cuz i cant premade? rofl, are u trolling or just dumb?

i neither have the time nor motivation to getting little kiddy arguments with you.

i havent got a clue what you do (as i have no interest what so ever) i never premade, only 5man, they may be withn a few real id and f2ps and i usually only play my monk when im bored as fuck.

also blaming aggramar maybe counts for like 10% of your afks.

The game is a lot funnier when chatting and playing with friends, question isn't really why is Dasha premading, question is why aren't you?

I don't think most people premade to faceroll or get better win/loss, they premade because the games are funnier with friends to have laughs with, than with 9 jajas jajaing in the bgchat not talking a word of english / not even willing to try to interact with non-spanish.

I don't know about you or your friends but people usually leave the party because of too much faceroll, not because of losing. I believe I speak for many when I say I'd rather have a loss over a really tight game, than win a faceroll game in 7min.

ps By saying: "Premading is same cuz ur also polishing ur ratio but with faceroll style.", do you actually admit that you /afk for win/lossratio? o_O
