Thoughts On Shadow?

I know most will say it's terrible, but I want to roll something different, and fun.

I feel like once played a bit, a 20 shadow priest can still outplay a lot of different classes.

Only thing I'm TERRIBLY worried about is Mana. I feel like they OOM quickly. Anyone have any ideas on priest?

Thinking of going for a crit set. It will be ally, on Korgath, but probably won't be partaking in the rated arenas, just due to the rules being set. I would rather no reward, other than just rating, with no rules set. Just my personal opinion though.

Its either this, or a Destro Lock, and I really prefer Hybrid classes, just because they're able to heal themselves, obviously.

At first spriest seems fun and new but after couple of games, gets boring. You can outplay classes and the feeling is great, but the ooming situation makes it hard to stay alive . The only usefulness in the class is the ability to peel. The class being more of a mid control type style, you have psychic terror/Roots, psychic scream, and mind flay.(I believe druids cant powershift this?) I had this one game that I did 25k damage,4 returns, and 1cap

If you pug most of the Time it'll be hard to have fun with the class.

This. Disc is great heals and great damage. Save penance for damage and play defensively with roots/PS and flash heal. In a pug, I can get top healing AND damage. I would hate to say that shadow sucks for f2p, but.. It sucks.

It's nice to see that occansional 20 spriest who slows down that druid efc for me, besides that, I think it's a UP spec compared to holy and disc.

Tried shadow at 20 and got beat by disco priests with full mana bars.

I'd be very surprised if you run OOM. Haven't played shadow myself but I don't think anyone has mana issues these days. Maybe flash heal spam?... but you shouldn't need more than 2 to keep yourself up in bubble. If you change your mind to horde consider BWL, we are always looking for underplayed classes. We could use another priest, bubbles and a slow would be awesome. Go undead for Touch of the Grave it can proc off your dots and mind flay

Keep mana pots on you and some mana drink. I think that shadow priests do great damage when geared well, and played correctly.

Good for a premade i guess. Everytime i see lvl 20 spriests i typically steamroll over them on my way too the EFC/Flag cap/important target. However... play what you enjoy right? Even if it's underpowered. Personally i feel like if im playing a weak class/spec i'm not contributing too the team, but that's my hang up. Heres hoping ret becomes useful next expac.

DEM MANA FISH can be useful, besides if you roll horde go UD as stated before. Good luck in playing hipster class

The heals are good no doubt, but i feel like if i was going in for heals i would just play an hpal, you know? I think if this was cata, and TV still knocked targets down it would seem more useful too me. I just dont see much there atm, not to mention generating holy power at this level for a prot/ret is slow going. I think if they gave ret the skills that do generate hpower quickly it would be a different story

OOMing is the reason I decided to stop playing Shadow. lol

I want something other than AP. I want arenas, but I just don't want to play on AP. Too many people like to start arguements, wont let things go, keep arguing, and can't stand the fact that some of us actually got high ratings end game, so we know better than they do about the game...

That being said. Depending on how fast I get a responce, I may roll either Shadow or Destro on BWL. ONLY if it has an active enough community to arena basically whenever I log on.

EDIT: Since you all like hipster classes on BWL so much, I may just go affliction, as they're not bad like people cry about, and they're getting a hellabuff next patch.
