You should start off with emils, when you get a crusa proc u switch to the loom and wait for another crusa proc, then you hit like a truck. only way to play a viable 19s arms warr.
I would honestly disagree... Reason being with a 3.1 speed vs a 3.8 speed you will have way more hits in which crusader does not proc on emil's brand vs BAR where the white hits will be larger and crusader will appear to proc more often.
Given a warrior's lack of Time on Target it would make more sense to have 2 huge special attacks and another larger white hit given that heroic strike and mortal strike can be macrod and do not share gcd so that would be 1 key press and 2 huge yellow hits along with a white hit, than 2 smallish white hits and 2 smaller special attacks. Warriors already have an abundance of AP and a lack of crit in my opinion. Their attack power is already over 310 or so without emil's +11 strength. Warriors specials are already huge enough and the bonus crit is going to be more effective since yellow crits are already in the several hundred, 400+.
This is also why I roll with a build more centered around raising the crit towards 20% while keeping the AP over 300.
Coming from a rogue's perspective I'm used to my AP granting stat (AGIL) also granting a crit of over 45% or so. Then switching to a character who has around 14% crit. Yikes.
Degrading from 3.8 speed to 3.1 is a huge decrease in the amount of damage a crit will do. Especially how specials are not on a weapon speed swing timer. Warriors typically aim for 3.5 speed and higher because anything less than that feels more like a wet noodle.
I would say that crit with a 3.8 speed weapon is by far superior on a warrior given that you only have the time on target in most scenarios to mortal / heroic a target once *maybe twice* with perhaps 1 -2 white hits in between but those hits are anywhere from 199 white non crit to 670 special crit with a 3.8 weapon. 3.1 weapon would be much less.
I feel like emil's brand would make more sense in a fight longer than 30 seconds especially how white hits are several hundred less in damage than specials. With rage potions your specials would be hitting way more often than whites anyways in which case you're sacrificing larger white hits for smaller yellows which make up most of your damage anyways which is gimping yourself.
