Do FTP 20s BOT BGs?

I've been back in the game a couple of weeks now and I've noticed a handful of 20s playing weird in BGs.

In a few ABs over the weekend, there was this one 20 warrior that would come off the GY and beeline for the flag to try to cap. If I let him by, he'd try to cap it. If I attacked, he would turn around and defend himself. Seemed very "BOT" like to me.

So are some of the 20s Botting to get honor for heirlooms maybe?

It happens. If I suspect someone is botting I try and whisper them. Sometimes I get whispers back that suggest they're new players, even the odd case of auto-run/alt-tab.

On a side note, does anyone remember a human hpal named Kasserstine from awhile back? Botted every game I ever saw her in.

Yeah, a lot of F2P's bot. There are scripts out there so sophistacted that you'll be top dmg, very hard to tell if botting or not.

Uninformed players bot BG's. That being said, there are faster, easier, and less risky ways to bot honor that will also not ruin a game for nine team mates.

Bots don't interact with flag, they usally just dps in biggest fight, I don't see how 1 bot will lose you the game unless your team is complete trash.

well neon did bot for a few months and lost his account (I believe?) for botting so of course that's what you're hearing

Yeah, it's a good way to get around the insane cost of BoAs. I can't imagine actually playing all those matches. Not like the BGs are worth playing most of the time anyway.

I really can't wrap my head around why people would waste a BG spot at this level for honor when they aren't even playing (and when there are better options for teh honor). Everyone playing on toasters?

Unfortunately you encounter bots across all levels and in all aspects of the game. Some are more *detrimental* to your play than others.
