So yeah...this just happened.

Shamans can need on swords.
Mage can need on mail and maces.
Theres no anti ninja system at lower levels.

my bad... I assumed blizzard wasn't stupid in regards to what can be needed for each class. Now that I think about it I remember being able to need on bows as a pally.

What you said is correct however it still binds to him if he needs on it.

Was about to say that shamingos could use Shadowfang as a transmog now that you can mog sword onto mace etc but then remembered that you have to be able to equip the item too

oh well

Yeah, if I had needed on the sword, it would have bound. IT was why I screamed in chat "DONT NEED THAT SWORD" in the first screenshot

I wish WoW had a statistic for that. To be honest, it's quite possible I would have done something like that as I didn't know the value of it til I started twinking. Yet, for the most part I don't DE stuff... Though I click DE when I run Cata/TBC raids all the time.

Honestly back in cata when mayhem was working on coming back we had 2 shadowfangs drop for 2 of my guildies in under a week...

One of them dropped for an undergeared rogue named Lineage who bound it (despite saying he'd sell it to me) and a week later deleted his rogue.
The other one bound it on another rogue if I'm correct (who's name nobody knows and is not / will never be active)

Things like that you have to relax about because when you enter shadowfang keep you know that chances are it won't end up in your bags unbound and some fool will see a blue and roll need on it anyways. Might as well just need on it and laugh about it since it was literally conjured and a bonus.

Much different story if you've had a sfang on an alt for ages and found it, then somebody DEd it or something.
