20-24 Horde or Ally?

With the faction change being 50% off this week, I was looking to maybe change my soon to be 24 twink from Alliance to Horde. I have not played games in this bracket yet, and I was wondering how the win/loss ratio was in the US for this bracket? Are they actually even or does one side tend to curb stomp often? Do not want to go Horde if Horde is going to dominate and has plenty of people already is all, as I am more of a team player. Just let me know your thoughts on the bracket please!

Horde win a lot. Can become boring but less boring than sitting mid as a ghost getting roflstomped at gy.

I find there is very little difference between factions for win/loss ratios. It depends when you play of course, but it seems relatively equal.

The scales might be slightly tipped to Horde during prime time.

Play whichever faction you prefer. Good players win games.

So one person says a lot of wins horde side to the point of being camped, and one guy says fairly even, but slightly tipped in horde direction. Sooo, does alliance tend to get roflstomped? Or is it more even?

Or is it more even?

Honestly, it depends when you play and who is queueing. I've been in roflstomps on both factions. Many games are facerolls. It is pretty darn even though.

I play both factions, with a recent Alliance favoritism.

But really, it's about the same win - loss ratio.

If you were going to faction to Horde, that's not a bad choice. If you were going to stay Ally, that's also not a bad choice.

Alright, thank you for your help. I may faction to horde to obtain some quest gear and then go back alliance.

Since I solo Q 90 percent of the time i find horde much less frustrating. We are discussing tactics and when i get on ally 24 they are discussing transmog.. when i see that i know it's gonna be a rough go.

Horde has ATLEAST a 2:1 ratio of 24s and win roughly 60-70% of the bgs however last couple days it seemed to be closer to 50-50. Still clear that horde has the advantage for quantity of 24s and win rate.

The stats prove that most puggers have a 45-60% win chance however afkers and premaders will have a much higher ratio so don't believe previous stats given. Depending on what your class is you will see 55-60% win ratio on ally and 65-70% on horde probably

That made me laugh.

But I have to reiterate for anyone of relevance, play whichever faction you prefer. Good players win games. Don't give two hoots about the rest.

I only play solo queue and at oceanic times, and most games tend to favour Horde as far as tactics and taking the initiative. They seem more organised, but Alliance seem to have more F2P's that are still gearing... and horde have more healers.

However, when teams look equal, Allies seem to push ahead. Though I don't see many spriests against me, and I know my class is considered OP.

To give you an example, I just finished a WSG where I did 50k damage (twice the next on list) and 25k heals. The game ended 1-0 after some really good fights in flag rooms, so my effect on the game wasn't that massive. It was just really even.

That made me laugh.

I'm glad how much my comments that are right always make you laugh :)

Proof. Your 77% is clearly an outlier because you premade or afk so saying that is the general win/loss ratio to someone who is asking which faction is better is wrong. If you notice all the outliers with 70-85% are clear premaders/afkers and about 75% of the list lies within 45-65%.

OP:

more spriests: horde by alot
more 24s: horde by alot
more hunts: ally by alot
more healers: horde by alot
more boring premade/faceroll bgs: horde by alot
better skilled: about even with slight edge to ally
better teamwork: about even with slight edge to horde
wins more: horde by 10-15%

There just summed up alot of the key points in the bracket. My stats if you wanna know my credentials

Just to respond for the sake of responding.

Well no, generally speaking you are wrong again.

My 77% is on toons that are clearly crutching above and beyond what a single F2P can pull off. You linking the F2P list is largely irrelevant. People play P2Ps for many reasons, one of mine is to make a larger personal impact. It stands to reason P2Ps, especially objective minded ones, should win more by virtue of rolling F2P by gear alone. With all other things equal superior stats should come out ahead. And they do.

Additionally, some more armories for fodder. He's neither a premader nor AFKer. Neither is she (same percent no less as the first two!) New toons of course. Maybe in some way those will lose a million times to fit your 40%.

I don't AFK on the three I linked. I didn't link anyone I do premade/AFK on.

And as for Lil's list. As I said it depends who is playing and when you are playing. There are no hard and fast rules for what you are going to encounter/experience. So back to, play whatever faction you want.

You used 2 toons to counter my arguement with a total of 60 bgs played..?

I am talking in general what this bracket is like and the avgs or in general so I am not wrong at all for anything I pointed out. 45-60% win ratio for f2ps with that being bumped up to 55-70% for 24s or maybe 70-80% if a Rdruid spriest or hunt. OP can choose to listen to the toons with 550 bgs played across their examples or the one with 4000 lol.

I've found the factions to be pretty balanced playing both sides recently. Games really vary a ton - there are a fair amount of players in the bracket that don't contribute very much to a team (legitimately new players, brazilians, naked 24s coming to pwn newbz, etc). An abundance of those players on one side is usually the biggest cause of a total faceroll, and it happens on both factions. There really isn't enough of a consistent difference between the two sides to justify faction changing. Unless you're mainly looking to faction for gear/quest rewards or particularly attached to a specific character, I'd recommend getting your own feel for it and eventually rolling twinks on both sides.

Your statistics from 4000 BGs played say very little about the current state of the bracket.

I know... I have an even lower win ratio in the current state.. Trying to say that someone has a 75%+ win ratio in pugs is just wrong so if sally woulda linked a toon with around a 60-65% I probably wouldn't have said anything. You will not hit higher then 70% on ally unless you afk or premade excessively.

There are awesome players on both teams. If you know some of them, you'll be fine no matter what faction you go with.
If you are truly looking for an extra 10% advantage, you're doing the wrong thing.

Let's say Alliance wins 45% of the time and Horde wins 55% of the time. Well, you're saying 'I want to go with horde'.
That's dumb.

If alliance is UNDERpowered you should go with alliance in order to make them stronger. Is it fun roflstomping someone? Hell yeah! Is it going to be fun when every single BG is just a rolfstomp with you as the winner? No it will become as boring as farming Stockades for wool.

I think it's about even, but people say Horde does better. So go with Alliance, help them out and have some fun games in the future.

I untwinked my twink a bit ago (almost BiS on my new one) and it was 50-50. But, nowhere near 4k BGs so don't trust a word I say.

I've been pugging tonight. Every toon i've rolled on Horde, all losses. Since the patch which favours DPS I've lost more in general. Not counting 24s/premades etc.

F2P = Alliance has better DPS gear.
Wish both factions had access to the same gear.

The other day I was pugging horde... 7 game loosing streak LoL.
