Hunters in 5.3?

  • Well, with the new patch coming up.. I just want to clear some things up.

Ok, HUNTERS. I read the patch notes, and i don't know what to say. Hunters are getting a massive buff, but BM is losing their stun. Anyways, do you guys think everyone's going to reroll hunters (especially alliance because you know.... SKILLPATCHZ) like they did with 5.1 (rdruids) and 5.2(prots)? I remember hunters back in cataclysm, you couldn't have a bg with less than 5 hunters on 1 side. They used to take people out in 3-4 globals as survival. So, what's your opinion? Will they be OP and dominate once again, or are prots still going to destroy this bracket? And also, is rejuv spam getting removed? I'm scared for this patch.

I wouldn't single Alliance out for rolling a FoTM class - I've seen just as many Horde FoTM re-rollers as Alliance lately. But there certainly will be an influx in Hunters - it's always like that, as soon as something gets strong people will follow the crowd and will finally feel 'good'.
Hunters will be strong but nowhere near as strong as Cataclysm Hunters.

I singled out alliance, because it was like that in cata. And because of their gear advantage it's mostly them that will.

Is this some sort of troll thread? Their buff next patch is anything but massive.

    No.

"Aspect of the Hawk now increases ranged attack power by 25%, up from 15%.' in addition to 'Intimidation is now a level-30 talent available to all Hunter specializations and no longer learned by Beast Mastery Hunters at level 20.' making SV hunters the best hunter spec again while nerfing heals (increased battle fatigue, reduced resilience effectiveness) will make hunters finally feel a tiny little bit like Cata again.

Fourth, reduced resilience effectiveness and increased battle fatigue will make everything non-hybrid/hunter totally unplayable: Hunters will put out superior dmg (you hear me, skillpatch?) while offering a good chunk of CC and a TON of movement in comparison to any other DPS class or spec and since healing will get reduced it will be even harder to keep people alive or be kept alive (I can't even win against a hunter NOW, how will I do so in 5.3...)." - Fujin0 Hunters are getting a HUGE buff.

Hunters are gaining about 25 ranged attack power. You are sure leaping to some conclusions with that other gunk, lol.

lets just wait and see. The point here is, are hunters going to dominate AGAIN.

    amen to you, Dorigon.

edit: why does everyone keep forgetting hunters are losing their most vital ability? most of you refer to it as "just another stun", while it's the most OP ability currently imo
If you read it again, you will see that i mentioned it. Other than that, i asked for opinions. Not people asking if it's a 'troll thread'

The way you mentioned it, it was as if the removal of intim was a "minor setback", while in reality, it is a much greater loss -- and 10% ranged AP isn't gonna make up for that.

Reading Holinka's tweets, they might revert scatter DRing with Freezing Trap, and just increase the CD on most pet CC abilities.

Hunters are already crying over how hard it will be to play arena in 5.3. ´´I can´t global people anymore with a single stun and Blink Strike :( F@$%^Y* you Blizzard!''.

Apparently you can't play a stun pet which will still nail somebody for 2 seconds to replace Intimidation with.

As for the aspect buff, it isn't a merely 26 attack power, its more.

Assuming 280 AP for simple math without aspect...

    280 AP * 1.15% current = 42 AP gain (322 AP total)
    280 AP * 1.25% next patch = 70 AP gain. (350 AP total)

Anyway, i don't get why people hate free universal attack power buffs for Hunters. ALL shots will deal more damage and since Hunters can keep moving whilst firing, how isn't that already OP?

I dont know but i always hate to play OP classes !!!
Idk if blizzard will make resilence 65% or 40%.
If the resillence will be 65% the healers may be better!

    40% resi.
45% Battle Fatigue (they scratched the 50%)

Also lol Druid in sig. But i doubt this thread was made for serious debating. Heck, 90% of threads made aren't serious anyway.

ele shamans OP in 5.3 as well?

I dont think they will be OP but they will be better.
Blizzard will increase damage dealt by lava lash to 300% w-dmg and Lighting Bolt will be better because blizzard will give the shamans the posibility to cast this spell while moving!!
