Trick GM into thinking one player ninja'ed my item then give it back to me?

Dramatized

Legend
Hello. Do anyone know whether it's possible for me to convince a GM my friend unintentionally ninja'ed an item in an instance and now he wants to give it back to me -- if it's within the 2h intervall? Obviously my friend will back me up saying he accidentally needed it.

Know it probably won't work but guess it could be worth trying out.

Even i could know if its true by checking ur friend character profile.

But... always worth trying, u might get lucky with GM.

Yes you can, I've done it on a p2p and a f2p, but its less tricking gm and more convincing them that the intended player did not receive the item.
Like I'm sure you are aware by now, it really depends on the gm that gets your ticket, if the item is that important to you just keep trying.

PS. out of curiosity, may I ask what the item is?

Thank you, sounds promising.

Transmog exploit.

I have actually done exactly this on 2 or 3 occasions. However, this was over a year ago and is likely to not work any longer.

I can confirm that transmogging dungeon drops does still work, but I don't see it happening on a f2p through a GM. I don't know if they'd be moving the exact item (transmog and all) straight to you like a trade does. Worth trying though, would be awesome if you actually got it.

Indeed it would. But according to IAT, the mog doesn't stay when the GM moved the item :/

Just read up on the thread, I've actually had first hand experience with trying to find a way to accomplish this. We used two p2p accounts and a f2p account linked to receiving p2p. This allowed the item to me mog'd and moved to an account linked with the f2p account which was the intended final recipient. Then a gm was contacted and agreed to move the item to the f2p, however like it was speculated already it came as a gm letter without the mog. I assumed this is because the gm moved the item in the most direct sense, unlike players that have to jump through hoops to try and protect the mog.

I was just the p2p that mog'd the item then traded it, so I don't actually know what was asked of the gm to move it to the f2p toon, but honestly I'd say your best hope for this is to be direct, tell them you're a twink, any decent gm will know this already, and explain what you are trying to do and why its important to you. Your sucess rate does seem low but just at it, good luck.

Thanks for straighting out some question marks :) I'll defo give this a try in the future!

I had a similar situation and wrote a ticket and the GM didn't really care about what happened and just made me my own specially made Charged Gear because I'm so charming. It really depends on who attends to your ticket.

As of now, they wont give you anything back unless they see its been acquired by your character within the last 30 days.

They have the means to view this, and if the item wasnt there 30 days ago, there not giving you/restoring you a new one.

In the past, things were possible, but also in the past if someone hacked you, you couldnt be helped at all...
