Shield Slam Nerf

Shield slam - working as intended. It's keeping the FOTMs busy rerolling and not playing druid/pally.
 
... they need to fix prot pallies too. Can't stand a dps spec doing less dmg than a tank spec
Or buff the dps spec in question, or both. As is, one may also argue that holyadins deals more or roughly equal sustained damage compared to ret as well (and in my humble opinion, a healing spec dealing more or equal damage than a dps spec is worse than tank dealing more damage than dps spec. At least tanks can be killed with one class, unlike 2+ for healers.).

Similarly too with comparing holyadins, frost mages, and warlocks (currently or at least way back in 5.1).
Or other possible comparisons one may find.


Basically, the 20-24 bracket is imbalanced for a lot more reasons than just Shield Slam damage, or any other single reason.

idc if they get nerfed or not. people will just move on to the next FotM anyway.
 
The thing I don't Iike about prot paIadins is the fact that avenger's shieId animation is so epic that it probabIy makes them feeI reaIIy cooI in addition to being overpowered

I wouidn't mind it so much if they threw the shieId underhanded or something
 
shield slam is not that bad anyway, warriors still seem to have an impossible task vs healers. if shield slam gets nerfed it will be even worse :|
 
The one time warriors get spoiled and they have to ruin it for us :(
 
mmochamp's datamined changes of the most recent ptr patch included this:
  • Shield Slam Slam the target with your shield, causing [ 11,216 + 120% of AP [ AP * (gte(Level, 85) * (0.75) + 0.75) + 13,670 ] to [ AP * (gte(Level, 85) * (0.75) + 0.75) + 14,371 ;] damage. Generates 20 Rage in Defensive Stance. Requires Shields. Warrior - Protection Spec. Melee range. Instant. 6 sec cooldown.

Warriors will magically disappear like Surv Hunters and Ret Paladins at the start of MoP and 24´s when 5.2 hit. People will just reroll Rogue/Prot or Hpal and perhaps Resto Druid. Tell me something new.
 
I wish blizz would bring back spell ranks so they could adjust things as needed rather than having a ripple fall through the levels. It's honestly not that hard to set up a base dmg and AP/SP percentile scaling for every 5-10 levels and just tweak it if it's needed.
