REAL trials get kicked from bg's.

This ^

And what I meant by this ^ is that teaching people how to find information, is better than feeding it to them directly. Buckeye, if you would please hop off my dick, and try to understand a post before you make such brash remarks, I would be very appreciative. Now, if anyone else has a problem with me directing new players to wowhead and TI, please let me know.

Get over yourself, dude. I didn't realize that "you have earned the achievement" part was the page header. Without that context, it looked like a pretty dick thing to say.

Hence my apologies above.

When asked, for example, where I got my legs, I would respond "Foreman Thistlenettle, Deadmines dead side. I learned about them at www.wowhead.com"

That way I'm answering the question AND giving them a lead to finding more information themselves.

And yes, going along with what Earl said, back in the day we used to start every battleground with macros describing Aerie Peak and the F2P community, and end the battleground with a macro saying that if you had fun, please seek us out on twinkinfo.com. Perhaps no one really does that anymore, but Earl's point, I think, was that for a long time, among some of us, it was an every-battle occurrence.

I still saying wowhead.com or twinkinfo.com when some pUgs ask me for clues.

That's how I got here ^_^

Imo this is not the best way to treat a new player but I must admit that this bracket is very competitive too so I guess we can't do nothing about it. :p

A community that kicks new players is a shitty community. Trying to justify shitty behaviour only reaffirms who's moral compass doesn't point north. It's pretty obvious from reading this thread.

If you want Michelin star gourmet cuisine, don't dine at McDonalds. You join a pug, you get a pug, period.

If you don't want to eat shitty food, tell them you're not going to eat it and bring back something edible.

Ahh the good ole daze... think I'll bring that custom back!

No, a shitty community kicks a new player and doesn't help. If someone helps them first then it is better for the player being helped, because maybe they would have got pissed and never played again, and helps team both by getting rid of dead-weight and giving the kicked player the tools to ultimately become a useful member of the team.

but you're missing the point totally. f2p was never designed for people to be playing in BiS gear, it was designed to give "noobs" a taste of wow, and it's become bitter...

Pride comes before the fall... don't let veteran f2p status blind you from the fact that we're playing in a very system designed for new players, and as a result you will run into many confused and oblivious people.

Edit: "You" is not referring to anyone in particular.

Except that is a taste of wow. If you don't have gear you can't raid, if you don't have gear you can't arena, if you don't have gear you can't rbg. If they don't like someone kicking them for not taking the time to do a couple dungeons to be competitive then they will hate p2p wow.

"We but mirror the world. All the tendencies present in the outer world are to be found in the world of our body. If we could change ourselves, the tendencies in the world would also change. As a man changes his own nature, so does the attitude of the world change towards him. This is the divine mystery supreme. A wonderful thing it is and the source of our happiness. We need not wait to see what others do." - Mutha Fackin' Ghandi, True OG

A brand new player with no gear and no clear understanding of the game has just as much right to be in that battleground as any of you. Just as much right. Possibly even more right, because the Starter Edition was made to cater to those potential new customers, not you guys.

And just a bit of perspective here: The point of the game is not to be super competitive. The point of the game is to do whatever the hell the individual wants to do, and if that conflicts with your ideals and goals, that is your problem, not theirs. If it offends you that new, wide-eyed people are gumming up your honor harvesting, suck it up. This is not your exclusive sandbox.

Time in service means nothing either. I started playing this game the very day vanilla was released, and I actually paid for the game for years and years, so if that were all that mattered, then my opinion would trump all of yours unless you could say the same... but that isn't how the world works. My voice, your voice, that new player with 800HP's voice... they are all equal. Forgetting that, and thinking you have the right to say how things should be and to negatively impact someone else's experience, is the worst kind of hubris.

but the guy's a trial, he doesn't want to spend a week gearing up to enter on bg to see if he likes it.

I don't think Kincaide takes things too seriously, he just has firm principles on how to treat other people. I wish more people would stop treating the internet as a place where the individuals one interacts with are somehow less real and important just because their faces are invisible.

Dont think I could have said it better myself. It is ok for them to enter the BG with this much health (ie no gear) because they have 0 clue what they are doing, and therefore need to learn.

Not to mention I'd rather have a team of undergeared English speakers who are willing to cooperate than a team of jaja's and alguem br's, the majority of which are pretty well geared.

I think Kincaide shouldn't take things so seriously otherwise he will ragequit again lol.

Actually, on re-reading my own post, I do see where it could be interpreted as being angry or "rageful" although that wasn't my intent. It is difficult sometimes to be emphatic without slipping into phrasing that comes across as irate, so I apologize for that. I hope that you'll see past that and relate to the message of what I said.

If you are under geared or don't speak English then you deserve to be kicked.

As stated multiple times this 'bracket' really isnt even a bracket at all... it is a booster battleground "bracket" that is designed to get people a little background on a game they may want to continue playing/ want to buy. If you just kick people because they dont know any better to get geared then you have less and less people wanting to play this game... and a % of which may have wanted to f2p twink. And by what divine right do English speakers have that they may play a game that others cannot because they do not speak a foreign tongue... from this and other troll posts I have seen you post today, it must be a sad world that you live in...

You have my pity
