Is that on your gemmed up toon? Used to be named Duopaladin, then you transferred to Draka couple months ago and renamed your toon Ìronman (alt code 0204) so that you could run with your fellow gemmers. Remember right after I ran into your gemmed up premade, I went into the Holy Crit vent and asked you if you were running with Ìronman? And you flat out denied it. "Naw man, that's just some pug we ran into," you said. You didn't have the balls to tell me the truth that you are in fact Ìronman. And then you begged your real ID friends not to tell anyone that your holy paladin is now named Ìronman.

People who cheat must always tell lies to cover up their cheating.

Why won't you accept Lith's challenge for a ten v. ten warsong? You won't have to spend an hour trying to sync queues; you just do a wargame so that there's no waiting around. You dodge a contest with <Sua Sponte> because you would rather run your gemmed toons and faceroll 20s all day long. The funniest part is that you and your gemmed up buddies actually think that you're good players.

By the way, you might want to update your signature since there is no longer a toon named "Duopaladin" who is a member of <Holy Crit>.

BTW, I changed the settings on my Capias photobucket account so that everyone can see the dossier now.

Here's what I'm thinking. We should all roll gemmed toons. We do it loud, splashy, and we don't even attempt to hide it. We promote it, we teach it, we help people do the exploit. When people complain to us, we give them the link to the official communication from the Blizzard customer service rep saying that it is OK.

Eventually, Blizzard will have to take action and either have their engineers shutdown the exploit, or start banning people who repeatedly use this exploit.

What do you guys think?

I trust that this clears up willix's confusion regarding my use of the term "illegal." Obviously I did not mean an offense "against the peace and dignity of the state."

When someone says that "it's raining cats and dogs," willix runs to the window expecting to see Mittens and Fido falling from the sky.

That's cute, but no, it's not illegal in any sense of the word. Wow is a game where the 'rules' are built to be very binary - you can either do something because the game world allows you to, or you can't because the game world doesn't allow you to.

In this case where players are exploiting the games design, they aren't breaking any rules because the game world allows them to do it. At the very most you could call this a bug or an exploit, where logical game design would conclude that this activity was not expressly intended by the game designers. Reporting this activity DID result in a time period where players performing this action had their characters stripped of the resulting benefits, and the game was hot fixed to no longer allow players to perform this activity.

But when you open a ticket claiming that players are doing something illegal, you just sound like an alarmist and I am not surprised that a GM would respond to you in the way that he did. Since players are able to perform this action again, and your ticket response indicates that the game designers don't have an issue with it, I'm sure you're simply overreacting and I'm not the one with the issue.

Dont pretend like you win premades against me anyways... I think i remember somfas added you to a premade with us, and we lost cause you did nothing... But obviously i already knew you were a plant. But somfas thinks otherwise... haha my monk is undergeared but atleast i beat dradforms premade with it.... you couldnt even get out the gy.

Tell Blizzard to add a proper blacksmithing requirement to the sockets. That way anyone that has the socketed stuff can't use it either.

Willix, you might very well be right, but why do the gemmers takes steps to conceal their behavior? They lie and conceal because deep down they fear that my analysis is right and that yours is wrong, nothing more than a tissue of rationalizations.

I'm going to conduct a test. I'm going to create a gemmed up toon. I'm going to go loud and noisy with it. I'll prolly give him the name 'Gemmer' and maybe even create a guild <Gem Exploit Dot Com>. Let's everybody do this. For the past year we've been filing reports and sending letters to Blizzard complaining about this exploit and the people who take advantage of it. "Hey, Blizzard, your ship is tilting to one side."

Enough of that. Let's everybody run to that side of the ship and capsize this sucker. EVENTUALLY we will get a clear answer from Blizzard, and goad them into either closing the exploit or banning the people who continue to take advantage of it.
