Blue Post Regarding BoA Shields

Heirloom shields were originally planned to be added in patch 5.2, but, unfortunately, due to a late-breaking bug with these items which prevented them from properly scaling with level, we had to remove them. We still want to get these shields in the game and plan to do so in a future patch.

It will likely have redbeard crest armor and around 4 or 5 stamina, so Deadskull may still be BiS for stam/armor stackers, unless you really need the parry.

It is always exciting to see a new BOA be introduced into live servers! I highly doubt the boa shields will have stats greater than Deadskull or Arctic Buckler though, but they are sure to be viable alternatives to those who do not have access to grandfathered gear!

Anyone have any news about the BoA shields? i've heard from word of mouth that they tossed the idea...


looking for anyone that actually has info from a reliable source (i.e Blizzard employee/rep) instead of everyone clashing their own opinions about it...
