Paladin gear

Check out the paladin guide in the twink guide section.

There are different chardevs for crit stacking holy, spellpower stacking holy, prot fc and prot dps.

The only difficult choice i see are the gloves and the trousers.

The other quest reward of the gloves are boots of the hero. Mainly BIS for prot and ret.

The other quest reward of the trousers is the shield. Also BIS for prot dps. But you can get another shield with same strength but less armor and stam by chestfarming.

IMHO: I Would Go with one Spec and not make any sacrifices in regards to the gear. You can still play decently well with the "offspec" in easy obtainable gear until you farmed rare items. If i missed something please add.

Boots of the Hero = Gloves of the Hero

Silver Linked Footguards (Chest)
Savage Trodders (Dungeon)
Gorewalk Treads (Dungeon)

Shield Against the Evil Presence = Scales of Aku'mai

Redbeard Crest (Chest)
Gold-Plated Bucker (Dungeon)
Commander's Crest (Dungeon)
Maybe the new BoA Shield.

Band of Argas = Seal of Argas

Band of Foul Strength (Quest)
Demon Band (Random Drop)
Legionnaire's Band (PVP)

was thinking of using this gear for my paladin. i also want to get a prot set. so is there any gear here that i would have to debate about taking for either spec? or would this be ideal. also would like to see if anyone has a chardev for a prot set, prob more of a fc set. ty chardev 10 - Mist of Pandaria - BETA

This is the wildly accepted gear set currently.

The only thing that you would change is in 5.2, you'd use the new PvP trinket over AGM.

A few things you would want to have:

A Survival Set(high stamina/resil but still prioritizing your intellect)
A Crit Set(For those RNG Burst Heals)
A Spirit Set(Just incase they fix the ooming system)
A BG Set(The set you use to BG in)
An Arena Set(The set you use to Arena in).

Talendris (3 sta 3 int 3 crit) > Barrens shield
merger's > corpse rompers
stillwater's > garrosh

You won't see a difference in healing with like 12 extra int. Hpal heals are broken, take advantage of the crit.

edit: you could even go stillwater's + garrosh and then have the argas for prot

If you take the intellect pants from the BFD quest for your Holy set, Shield of Azsharan Conquest would be a good choice for your Prot set to help your hit rating. It's what I use on my pally, personally, because I bagged the shield like a dumbdumb back when I was Ret...

If you are going to go for mail gear (of the eagle), only do it for boots and wrists. Any other items wouldn't be benefitial.

sp stacks on hpala is stoopid since SP scaling with hpala is awful since pre shattering patch.
So Sparkmetal Bracers instead of Cuffs of Black Elements/Crystalline Cuffs, and what else? Skeletal Gauntlets instead of Gold Flecked Gloves/Serpent Gloves??More INT means more spell crit...

You can look at the chardevs in my guide. Link in signature. I haven't added the pirate ring yet, but I'm not sure if it's BiS for prots, haven't done the math. From a quick glance, I would say no. But I can't guarantee that yet. Like said above, get BiS gear for one spec and make a non-bis set for your offspec. Don't mix and match quest rewards, go all out for 1 gearset, and stick with it. Paladins are very forgiving, and with the availability of hit gear, it's easy to make a strong prot set even with holy quest gear.

Don't do this, The crit/int shield is BiS for holy, and there is an abundance of viable str shields, namely redbeards crest.
