Fishing turney confusion

So today i lost the fishing tourney. I got 4th place. Three peoples names were yelled that they had each won first second and third. However, another character came in after me as I was standing at the turn in place at BB and earned the master angler achievement. This character was from a different realm. Now, I thought that the reason bliz made 3 winners was because of CRZ but that does not seem to be the case. Apparently it is 3 winners from each REALM. CRZ only affects the amount of people stealing your fishys, not who gets first second or third on your realm.

I was unaware of this. Maybe I'm a dumbass or maybe this will help some other people out.
 
Yup you got that right, 3 winners per realm. Second place for me today, dread ring YAY!
 
got lfh and dpr on my ally druid today ...... might have to gear him now .....

google takes around 10seconds tops, cant find an answer via google then post. dont understand how that was hard to see or figure it out for yourself.

Srsly, all I see in general chat is people confused about the fishing tournament placing. Most have no clue it's per realm. Sadly, as I am not allowed to post in general zone chat, they will remain lost.
 
Oh man... I did the same dumb thing hahaha

All that planning.. I had 37 fishes when 3rd place arrived there.. guess my warrior will wait till I am home 2pm on a sunday again
