Monk healers

Burg

<Nagaz With Attitudez>
Heyya guys. My friend is wanting to make a monk healer, and wants for me to help him gear. There is one problem, I have no clue about how to gear or play a monk! Could anyone tell me where to put the talent point, what gear to get it, and i guess just anything I will need to know to help him out. Thanks guys!

Monks are questionably viable because of lack of instant heals. The warlock like heals make it easy class to cc and being squishy like druids doesnt help when they have nothing to get out of slows. But to humor you just gear it like a druid stack crit and intell and stam, you need the stam.but druids and paladins could outheal monks 10-1 so gl.

Ok, its not me twinking one. My friend wants one for some reason. I told him if he wants to go healer to make something else, would be smarter haha.. But I guess play what you like... right? :p

They do fine if there's another healer along. It is sort of like Cata druids - they did poorly if there was not a paladin or priest around to pump out the quick heals.

Ill have to let him know. By what I am hearing it is a waste of time and gold to twink one.

i had a 24 monk healer for a bit and compared to other healers, with only w/e the heal is called ticking for very low jsut made me rage and felt pretty useless. Needless to say i deleted it and havent looked back

I talked him out of it now. He is making a priest instead. Thanks all for helping us save our time!

Monk healers are much better than cata resto druids were. They're a bit squishy and lack mobility, but they have amazing output and use no mana at all. There's no reason not to play one in this bracket, especially at 24. Enveloping Mist - Spell - World of Warcraft (the spell added to this level with 5.1) will tick for at least 700 per second. If you get that on someone they aren't dying. You just need to be very aware of your positioning, and having someone who can offheal next to you is a big help.

Tiger's Lust - Spell - World of Warcraft is amazing. You can get yourself away from rogues to heal up and keep moving or cast it on your FC/a dps trying to keep up with a druid EFC.

They aren't as strong as other classes, but OP heals are OP heals. Mistweavers are viable, its a fun class.
