Warriors: Crit vs AP

Indeed. 10 top end dmg has nothing on 5-10% crit in a game where it's all about burst dmg or shit doesn't die.

CC is what grants the kills, this is not Cata anymore. Unless we are talking about Feral or rogue kind of burst, then pure burst is definitely not what gets you the kills.

Also; You can't say "50% dmg is same as crit in AP gear" lmao. You don't do 100% more dmg in AP gear than you do in crit gear. Bad math is bad.

What? He said if you do 50% of the damage in crit gear than what you would do in AP gear, _outside of crits_, then crit gear would still be better because of the burstiness. But if crit gear was doing 50% of the dps outside of crits, then it would crit exactly the same amount than AP gear would hit with a normal swing. Don't you get it? Understand it or not, I am not gonna explain it again. You'll just have to figure it out by yourself. This barely has anything to do with the discussion anyways, since it is purely theoretical. (protip: 2x 50% = 100%)

I understand completely what you fail to realize though is that damage reductions double dip on crits so even your theoretical example is wrong.

You should avoid this kind of posts if you want people to think that your posts are generally smart.

Well their are damage reductions in pvp and we are discussing.......you guessed it pvp gear. I'll let you figure the rest out.

Again, this has nothing to do with what we were discussing. Please leave.

Crit doesn't have the same affect in pvp as it does in pve, if you think that isn't relevant ur just dumb.
Believe it or not, this applies to regular hits aswell, thus making it irrelevant in this discussion.

edit: and if you think resilience still reduces crit chance and damage then you should join mocha

Balance the two, but take 1 crit over 1 str. Dont go full retard stendel mode

Edit: Try reaching spell hit cap also for charge stun

Reduction is applied before crits are calculated ie it double dips on crits. So no it isn't affected the same way as a regular hit.

Which results in a crit after damage reduction still being twice the amount of a regular hit after damage reduction.

It also doesn't matter in which order you calculate damage reduction and crit multiplier, the result would still be the same.
