I feel there is no reason to ever AFK out of a bg. IMO, AFKing is quitting on your team. Aren't the best games the ones when you make a comeback or the team your playing against on paper you should'nt be able to defeat? AFKing means to me your a quitter. I say Screen shot & post on here. Maybe it will prevent the talkers on here who talk a big game yet afk out. OMG or thoses idiots who AFK before they die to you. lol

Quitter - A person who gives up easily; defeatist ,deserter, or shrinker.

Defeatist - A person who expects or is excessively ready to accept failure.

So, how do you feel about AFKer's? Also is there any excuse to quit on your team? Let's hear your opinions /Excuses. F2p can chime in as i know they will.

If the other people on your team AREN'T TRYING I think thats a reason to afk. Ive got no problem with people being bad as long as they try. If you afk all the time then yea you are a quitter.
 
I feel you can afk out if you are being GY farmed for the entire game, not being able to leave GY. That is it.
 
Hell , lets give credit where credit is due. If you have Screen Shot of your teammates who afked out and then turned things around to make a cameback to only win after they left the bg. Even better it shows you fighting through Adversity & gives credit to real Competitors who stuck it out.

I'd like to add Swoops & Bison never afk out even if they are losing find a way to be a thorn in my butt and try hard to run around with our flag to prevent 3 cap or delay when i que alliance. I just wanted to give props out to them.

Or that spot made room for a beefy 24 Spriest or 24 Rogue who carried the 9 others.

Too many 'twinks' leave games.. I have a bunch of screens but i'm not gonna sift through them just to name and shame. They know who they are.. :p

As for me, the only time I will /afk is if I join a BG and all 9 Horde are dead and getting GY farmed with 15 mins still left to go. @honeybadger if you don't afk in those situations, you've got a lot more free time than the rest of us I think!

-edit My teaser vid shows a guildy afking that game; when I asked him why he left, he said "that BG wasn't worth it" (24 spriest, 5 healer etc) Then 1 minute later Horde wins. You can see it in the chat log of the video anyway.

Wait, wait... So if someone is griefing you, you should not do something else? You should not take deserter (and do professions, etc) but should instead wait the 10, 15, whatever minutes, in the interest of *pride.*

I see.
 
Pride and the 20-24 bracket have nothing to do with one another.

Wow Sally , i thought more of you. Professions lol why not knit a sweater while your at it. People in 20-24 bracket who quit same people in 19 bracket in early expansions. Losing alot of respect for F2p's in this thread.

The reasons (aka excuses) said and those yet to be posted are laughable and show the shallowness of posters. I only want to stick around while winning cause that is worth my time, yet losing is not why I que up so not worth my time.

Granted people will do as they please, but I sure don't want one who afks frequently on tougher matches on my team.
 
All ive learn so far if you getting farmed. it's okay to AFK. so what about the people, who leave when there is no farming occuring ?
 
When in doubt, AFK out.

If I see a a full 5 person HC premade or any premade that is known for gy farming AND the ally team looks like crap I will immediately afk out. No reason in giving the gy farming trash what they want by sticking around and wasting my time. Someone may try to say I afk out all of the time once they see this post and call me a liar or w/e but it's due to my frequent dcs..

I feel bad for people who leave as soon as things look bad or after horde gets first cap.. Some of the best games are the games you never thought you could win.
