Protection Paladins, Spell Hit, and PvP Weapon Choice

Stone form removes poisons and reduces damage. The best anti rogue racial. 8 seconds is a long time to be taking poison damage. I also use the FA poison removal. The strength is the main reason though, yes.

Since you prefer Dwarf as Prot DPS for stats, would it follow that you prefer Tauren for the same reasons? Or is silence too good to pass up?

Personally, having to stop and cast really pisses me off, Warstomp loses some attractiveness for that reason.

I beat 24 rogues out of stealth all day without even trying. If they open up on you, then you need to use a CD. Bubble is usually good enough. Keep them in combat so they don't restealth or you're dead. If you can remove poisons and kite, it's simple too. The real problem is the ambush and evis macro ones that only open when you're on half HP and do 1.5k on you before you even know they're there.

I can't kite because of swiftness potion and I do I really have to use a major CD?

Hmm. I didn't think about giant growth; I see what you're saying. Seems like that would almost be an asset when you're playing linebacker, trying to get people off fc and healers. I suppose it would depend on what you're trying to do.

Also, the thought of big sexy belf made me think of this.

And yeah, Forsaken Paladins would be awesome. To free up a slot, Taurens could renounce their faith and take up the way of the assassin.

Not sure if you have the BFD shield, or you took the pants, but if you replaced the shield with Redbeard's and the weapon with any number of hit weapons, including the 20 quest hammer, 4 str 2 hit axe or any number of lower level str/hit weapons, you'd actually gain strength, obviously at the loss of some defensive stats.

I made this toon in cata and played retribution so i took the leggings, but since blizzard ruined retribution i started playing protection thx for the options, got only one question: what quest hammer you mean?

switching yo drakewing and redbeards would give you +1 str at the cost of -1 stamina. I wouldn't go for razor's edge, the top end is terrible.

Respecced Prot to give it a whirl, never PVPd as prot much. Turns out I'm right at 12 hit. Still need gloves and a cloak but was gearing for Ret before I quit so I'm reasonably happy with my current gear.

Looks like once I can get a good cloak to drop, get skeletal or BFD guants, and a heirloom sword, I'll be all set.

Killing the skeles outside Deadmines you'll find the gloves drop before the pants do. If you feel like farming for the pants, you'll be able to get the gloves too. That said, tanking Stocks is fast and easy too.

Prot is interesting. Not quite the silliness of a Rdruid, but more survivable and just as bursty as a rogue.

Until the whole healing thing is fixed I may be on the pally more. Wanted to take the high road but it gets really fustrating. Especially when you got res sick ppl and 1k health ppl on your team against 2-3 24s on theirs.

Forsaken cannot be Paladins because of lore. The playable Forsaken are people who died in the 3rd War to the Plague of Undeath. Paladins are immune to the Plague, therefor they would be either dead or a pile of sizzling ashes.
