generalizations are needed to gain general information on something that isn't uniform

i mean, hey, i'd be surprised if a 24 impressed with their skills, but unfortunately my generalizations hold true so far with glance/honey/cripz. seems like their most impressive displays of objectivity and skill are returning the flag, zzzz

not like many f2p were that impressive anyways. especially compared to past and current 19s.. no contest. there's another generalization for ya

-.- and ur most impressive displays of objectivity and skill is saying LoL in chat...

Please don't take my above comment as a troll because it wasn't meant to be. I just saw an opportunity to be hilarious, and took it (with debatable success). It really didn't have anything to do with the content of what you were saying. I guess you could say the joke was formal in nature, which as the delightful Yde pointed out, is only going to reach a small audience at best.

And yes, making generalizations, or categorizing things, is how we make sense of the world around us, so generalizing isn't bad, necessarily. Overgeneralization, however, by definition. is too much generalization, and that's where one runs in to trouble — that is, if what what one says is actually not true. Really it's just another form of hyperbole, or exaggeration.

There. I really sucked the fun out of that one.
All jokes that you have to explain are obviously the worst thing(s) in the world.

Seriously, 17 page threads about bullshit... really?

Coming from the "Most Valuable Player", what is this?

generalizations are never supposed to be fully true

generally, a defining of an overgeneralization is a generalization

in fact, your posts even come up on google because you repeat yourself so often.

Not directly on topic (and slightly against my better judgment as someone who plays Ally a bit more often these days): Eviscerate crits are a big source of burst damage (aka it makes squishy druids die). I didn't play Assassination for too long, but I found it to be better sustained damage with poison procs at the cost of Eviscerate's burst. Envenom's front end damage alone certainly didn't pack the same punch. I think you'll find you have even more of an impact on games rolling with an offensive subtlety build, I'd recommend trying it out. Pick up some +Agil Charged Gears/Emissary Cuffs and replace that damn belt with the "of the bandit" satchel one. Keep your stam set for when you need it, but IMO you're gimping yourself a majority of the time at this level with your current setup. Rogues that are afraid to die are limiting their potential. Its worth trying at least, even if you decide not to stick with it.

just wanted to say thank you to swoops.

i didn't realize the huge difference between eviscerate and envenom at this level. even though assassin is better in every other department, it doesn't offer a "big damage ability" when out of stealth. and if you don't have big damage abilities, competent healers can just have their way with you.

well...it looks like hemo hits like wetnoodle. i really miss mutilate.

wtb mutilate+evis.

Hemo hits cloth / leather for about 100ish on average I want to say. Granted I'm running a sword MH. I tried the other two talents but Shadow Focus is key IMO.

Shadow Focus lets you:
- actually sap all these things, which is our only CC and if used till immune can be very effective in peeling a FC healer
- Start with a full energy bar after opening, so you can get to a full evis faster and the extra hemos mean higher prob of crip procs.

All the other talents allow higher burst damage at the cost of the above and seeing as burst damage is easier to mitigate now it seems better to have the endless saps and full energy to start.
