This thread is intended to call attention to and promote F2P Arenas, specifically on Aerie Peak US. Long story short, they're tons of fun and it would be great to have more people doing them. Here's a video (by Swagcleavic/Wizkidone) of some Cata arenas, it's slightly different now but still fun.

I'd love to answer any questions anybody has, and it's always good to try new things. These arenas are a great learning experience if you're relatively new to the game, and great practice for anyone that's been here longer. Let's try to get these going more often :D

I have set up a Skype chat group based off of Cotus's original idea, and my skype info isyouakim. for anyone who wants to add me, I'll add you to the group and we can organize arenas n stuff from there.
i have an idea that i think will make organizing arenas on AP a lot easier for all those who are interested. most people i know who are gamers now use skype as their default means of voice and chat communication, myself included. for other games i play, i have a permanent group chat which skype maintains whether you/anyone else is logged on or off. this works wonders for communicating with others to organize inhouse games, group queues, or just to chat.

i'd like to set up a similar group chat for all AP arena players who are interested. i understand that some people will be hesitant to post their skype username on a public forum, so i'm just going to bite the bullet and put mine on here, and you can contact me and i will add you to the permanent chat. if you'd like, you can also post your skype username in this thread, but it's not necessary. you can also have someone else add you to the chat instead of me if you would prefer.

i honestly think that this will make organizing daily(!) arenas much, much easier, and also give people a chance to chat with each other if they are so inclined. for those not as familiar with skype, don't worry, it's very easy to use and there are no sketchy drawbacks to keeping yourself in a group chat over time.

my skype username is ____. feel free to add me as a friend or message me to request addition to the arena group chat. i'd ask you guys to please not spam me or give my name out to other parties, and since i'm being nice enough to volunteer my own information to get this started, i hope you'll honor that request.

sorry for the wall of text - i just wanted to be thorough. if this works out, perhaps we can make separate skype group chats for things like world group pvp or maybe even AP vs AP battlegrounds. hope to talk to some of you guys soon.

edit: for those inexperienced with skype, the group chat is NOT voice-only - it is basically a permanent chat room for everyone, with the option of also including voice chat if we want. if you don't have a mic, or are shy, you don't have to worry.
And if you're up for it, post your skype info in this thread to keep it bumped :)

I was trying to get arenas going horde/alliance today only a small handfull were even interested ;/

There are no formal rules, but people tend not to want to play with resto druids. If you have a 3 healer team, nobody will play you. Pretty simple

Seriously who put this vid together for you?

I'll be back on if people play again. Just need to make a new character that is actually viable -_-
