Pally rets

Your melee attacks would be worse than ret, which are awful, but your holy shock would probably compensate for your lack of melee damage. You wouldn't be as effective as a properly geared shockadin, but since they're so OP right now, you might be able to make it work.
 
Having played mainly a Ret as my f2p, I really don't like how Ret got "flipped". However, I was just curious if anyone has tried out a Hybrid Holy?

a.k.a specced holy but wearing Ret gear ? I'm gonna try this out and see what kind of numbers show up.

FotM respecced Holy Pallies in strength gear are everywhere. Holy shock will still hit like a truck at the moment, but with healing fixes already going out I'm thinking that may be addressed soon. Nerfed holy will still be very strong, especially utility-wise with denounce, magic dispels, HoJ, saving holy power for 30% speed etc. Denounce is one of the most interesting spells in the game at this level imo. I'm not sure if the extra CS/melee damage will be enough to justify a strength hybrid though, so test it out while you'll still be OP enough with holy shock.
 
Take Pursuit of Justice - Spell - World of Warcraft it's the most overall speed. Long arm is okay, but only 50% uptime. The sprint is fine for holy, but rets need ToT. Before the patch ret got 25% bonus damage, which abilities scaled from, after the patch it's scaled down to 10% bonus damage. CS was 175% and is now 125% +X amount. TV was 303% and is now 275% +X amount. Overall white damage, CS and TV are all doing less damage than they did. Exo is gone too obviously, as is devotion aura and agility giving crit. Agility is now 100% useless to ret. Int gives spell crit but not SP so pretty much useless too.

was the 175% CS and 303% TV counting with the 1tier talent, 30% increased damage on CS and TV?
 
Yes, that was counting the talents. Don't forget that it's not a direct loss. You now do 125% +X amount, rarther than 175%. X scales, probably with level.
