Finally got my accounts merged....

  • So I finally jumped through enough hoops to get Blizz to drop my F2P license into my inactive main Battle.net account.

    Greetings,

As per your request, I have transferred all game licenses from ************@gmail.com to ***********@gmail.com. Please be aware that the only account I located on *************@gmail.com was a trial account.

Please let me know if there are any other questions or concerns.

Now I just wait till Tuesday to see what kind of 'account-wide' goodness gets bestowed on my F2P. At least my X-51 Rocket, hopefully!

Would you mind going into detail about what sort of hoops you had to jump through? I'm kind of in the same boat, having made my F2P account separate from my currently inactive P2P account (don't know why...) When looking into it the other day I realized I already have an unused trial account attached to my P2P battle.net account, is it possible to have 2 trial accounts linked under the same account? If not, I was planning on rerolling anyways..

Well, first I tried to call the 1-800 number and that was useless. You will never get through. Ever. So finally I opened a ticket in my Battle.net account support web page. Told the person I was upset that I couldn't call them to get my accounts merged, he wrote back pretty quick:

    Hello there Preeztess!

This is Fabio from Account and Technical Services. Thank you for contacting Blizzard Entertainment Support for help with your World of Warcraft accounts.

I apologize that it took so long to receive and reply to your ticket. We are aware that waiting several days for a response can be an inconvenience. I can assure you that we are working diligently to assist everyone on a first come first served basis as quickly and efficiently as possible.

Regarding your request to move your game license over; this can be done electronically by submitting a copy of the completed form linked below with an ID. All instructions can be found in the link.

So then I printed out that 3-page form and filled in all the fields and added my ID at the end.

NOTE: Your accounts better be under the same name.

Then just opened a second ticket, and attached the scanned files with the ticket and told them I wanted all my licenses under one battle.net for 'ease of use'.

That's about it, kind of a pain, but not too bad.

    Good luck!

I really wonder what titles will be shared. I read that they will limit titles that required a level requirement, like 'Defender of a Shattered World', so you can't run around with it on a level 1. But hopefully all the holiday titles (Merrymaker, The Noble, The Hallowed, Patron, Brewmaster, etc...) As well as Explorer and maybe Jenkins or I would like 'of the Shattered Sun' title. ;) Guess we'll see!

I was hoping they were going to drop all the level 40 ground mounts to 20 but it doesn't look that way.

I called awhile ago and they told me that merging accounts was not possible >.>

    Guess I'll try again

I tried this also for my f2p us account and getting it on my eu bnet and it worked wich i thought never would be possible :)

@ Aty; i think you asked about this, just make a ticket and the gm will reply with things you have to do.

My brothers played for 6 years and he let me make my trial account attached to his battle.net account. He has the Mekgineer's and Rivendare's Charger so I'm excited for Tuesday as well.

Sadly, neither of those will be usable by a trial account because they will still require level 40... :(

Weird, I thought I read somewhere that all the mounts are getting scaled down.

    Hi All,

I need to do this too. Is there any difference between merging main-into-f2p or f2p-into-main? Or is one really stupid and I'll regret it for the rest of my life? :)

    Thanks!

It shouldn't matter as your wow account being a F2P account doesn't limit your blizzar Bnet account in any way.

It works but you have to log onto every character who has achievements, mounts, pets etc for them to be recognized across the board

I gave someone a SoR so they could use 7 days free login on original account -> gain access to titles, mounts, achiev etc
