In Mists, the following items will be available to 24's (and other p2p's) and potentially f2ps if they can enter Pandaria.

Mr. Smite's Brass Compass
"On use:
"Player yells: You there! Check out that noise!"
As you warstomp and turn into Mr. Smite himself.

Just when you thought it couldn't get any better... occasionally during combat you can yell one of the following:
"Player yells: You land lubbers are tougher than I thought! I'll have to improvise!"
"Player yells: D'ah! Now you're making me angry!"
"Player yells: We're under attack! Avast ye swabs! Repel the invaders!"
All the yells are fully voiced from the original encounter, so be sure to have your sound on."

Hardened Shell
Dismounts the target, on a 15 minute CD. Didn't think your life was awful enough against hunters? Guess again.

Mainly posted this because I was excited about the smite trinket, but the turtle shell is worth noting.

Sadly, F2P's are restricted from MoP content, or most of it. the most we can do is the starter Zone for Pandaren on Release, but its gonna be a Clusterbuck of people that I don't think anyone will be leveling a pandaren until at least a week has passed at minimum. But yeah the shell thing is another slap in the face. Oh well.

Considering they are allowing access to all races, regardless of expansion, Im guessing it will most likely be just the starting area. but I could be slightly wrong /shrug
 
The shell isn't just a "misc" item. It's actually a pretty major advantage in PvP against runaways. In the 20 bracket especially, this is a pretty big deal.

I sure hope you are :p

In consideration, a person with just the 'original' WoW can visit outlands and make belf/draenei. In an ideal world it would be simple for the designers to give access to continents as well as races and overlook banning lower levels from visiting, as they have currently done with OL.

A Blue confirmed today that everyone will be able to roll a Panda and enjoy the Panda starting area (which is likely to be phased, like Goblin/Worgen start zones)

But as for access into Pandaria (the unphased continent itself) you will need to have a MOP license on your account. So it will be P2P only.

Entirely IMO, but if they do anything, they'd give us access to Northrend to keep up with the "F2P is two x-pacs behind" theme. Thinking we'll have access to Pandaria is pretty outlandish.

...although the idea of giving us Northrend is pretty silly too as there's no lowbie content up there.

...so on that note, we'd get access to Cat before we'd get Pandaria as there is digestible lowbie content in Cat.

but any way you twist it, we're not getting Pandaria.
