New rogue - Old rogue

Hi guys,

From launch night i played a rogue, with world pvp a major draw - Tarren mill battles caused major distraction from the levelling i was meant to be doing! I have a few capped chars since then, but this is my first step into the twink world......so be gentle :) I am familiar with most rogue addons, familiar with macros etc. and used to love stun lock, until nerfed :(

OK......... i have read around, started farming items, i am up to tha task! but have a few questions for the experts (please don't say google, i been on the search past few weeks!)

current gear:- Paineaser - 19 Rogue

I think i have most down except the following:-
Head - I don't currently have access to a lv20 guild, so goggles was next best, until i organise that fishing trip :p

Boots - waiting on AH for Feet of the lynx

Trinkets - i'll go double AGM as human, but you know thats gonna be a while farming

Weapons - With shadowfang x 2 the BIS, i understand it's in SFK 21+ mobs, ie the bosses and that will take some time to either farm or buy on AH
what are the next best alternatives?


Could i also clarify what the Dagger swop macro is? And how this works in practice. Do you start of with Main hand dagger and offhand sword, i have Tail Spike (possible upgrades?) then shadowstep, ambush? can you swop in combat?

any other advice would be greatly appreciated, thanks.
 
Thanks it's quite debatable and my fc set isn't exactly the most popular one.. It's suggested to go with a more agolity based set.. But since you can't dodge arrows yet I find by the time I'm dead or I pass to our fc I usually am never struck by melee attacks lol.. It's very rare due to sprint shadowstep evasion etc.. Rogue facing isn't the greatest idea.. I only use it for quick caps or passing. How did you like my macro?

Also armory Møçhâ and Møçha. One is on skull rusher and te other is on akama. He one on akama has Pyrium weapon chain and boa mace along with a few other changes. Pyrium wep chain is bis if you wish to use it. Morally it is no different than leg armor kits which everyone used... Just put your boa on your main, put on the chain and just mail it if you choose to use that. It's far better than shadowfang.

Btw use thistle tea! And I have a dagger mainhan for fcs when I need a waylay, but with the weapon chain your whites won't even miss... Whites can crit for over 250 :D

Do you guys actually have a weapon swap macro for a dagger? I feel like that's a roundabout way of doing it unless I'm missing something? I just have 2 different equipment sets, one with normal gear, and the other with the same gear where I only change the MH weapon to the dagger. I have both of those bound to the same key with a shift modifier to switch between them.

always used the old wardrobe way like that, but the question was around macro solutions and the one you pm'd mocha looks good will try it out over the weekend.

Weapon chain? Instead of the agility enchants? Spent an hour last night farming mats for enchants now I have jp for BOA weapons so let me know now! As for FC stam gear I haven't starting collecting the additional parts focusing on the agility set.
