Old School Twink thinking of coming back!

Hi all!

So I twinked from around vanilla - mid WotLK, have been through the ups and downs of 19s and am currently thinking about returning to the game and bracket.

After quickly skimming over the forums I see many conflicting opinions on the state of the bracket.

I was just wondering if anybody would be able to just give me a brief overview on the bracket and it's changes since the 'golden age'??

Also noticed alot of stuff is grandfathered..??

ah i see.. any chance i could just get a quick idea on the general look of things atm tho?
 
Games are really one-sided and you don't get those good competitive games. Most games are Premades vs Pugs with the majority of games becoming a steamroll and a gy camp.

Not un-common, but Hunters/Rogues are OP and games get repetitive. Occasionally you will get a good game that is not a premade and you actually have to think about what to do.

I would wait till MoP to renew, or maybe slightly before hand so you can get some of the Cata gear and whatnot.

Don't have high expectations for MoP, but can't be any worse that this.
 
WoW is cheap entertainment, and it doesn't take too long to get a twink geared up - may as well give it a try.
 
I would start again up, but don't enter any bg's. Just get the gear because i'm pretty sure some of it's gonna be GF'D.
 
It is not as bad as everyone says. Use team work if you play an underpowered class and you will still shine in the gulch. If you decide to come back, I would not roll an overpowered class, not only because they are game breaking, but also because they are not as fun to play. Also, if you are Alliance get ready to take a few loss since recently the most active alliance guild fell apart. Horde probably wins 70-80% of the games.

Here is a list of the classes I consider overpowered:

- Hunter
- Priest
- Holy Paladin
- Arcane Mage
- Subtelity Rogue


Edit: For now, the only items that might be grandfathered in MoP are the quest items from Ragefire Chasm. For information about the current granfathered items click here.

The bracket is fine there's just fewer power house guilds now days so when someone like you can't be carried by WT you whine about it. Why don't you bring back once great mayhem and make yourself useful than qq'ing about pug games. If you expect any game you solo queue in should be a top notch game then your lost.

Might i remind you we're still in the same x-pac as the "@19s, The Bleeding Hollow Migration & Qs (U.S.)" which was looked at as one of the great eras of the bracket. The only difference now is Mediocre,good and exceptional players are deciding to queue solo these days Or Quit instead of creating something

There were many rivalry games yesterday between only a few guilds, it's just a shame you weren't queueing at the right time. Now once the active guild list starts to hit 6,7,8 then the bracket will go back to it's prime.

Last input : No one complained about classes in the Dalaran: Bleeding Hollowing [US] Twink Hub

At least do all the quests; that way when MoP does come out you will have all the grandfathered shit.
 
You won't like it as much as WotLK, which you probably didn't like nearly as much as BC, which you might've liked as much or more than Vanilla.
 
I see, interesting haha. Interesting i see i alot of people complaining about premades?? Are there any guild vs guild premades going on ?

Also crazy looking at some of the grandfathered gear from previous xpacs! haha they used to all just be items took for granted..

Are the new items from these quests BiS? or do grandfathered gear from previous xpacs take that ?

Grandfathered gear has a minimal impact on the bracket.
