Cross-Realm Zones Coming to Beta - MMO-Champion BlueTracker

Sounds pretty interesting and promissing! Specially for pvp realms and wpvp ^^

Yeah, that does sound promising!

This sounds like it could be awesome for us F2Ps, could open up cross server hanging out, grouping and arenas!

If you group up with somebody from a different rule type (via RealID for example) and go into a cross-realm zone you’ll be on the ruleset for that player’s realm type. So, if you’re on a PvP realm and a friend joins your group from a PvE realm and enters a cross-realm zone, the group will be in one of the PvP realm clusters and will use the PvP realm ruleset.

If this works, people could plan events where players from all sorts of realms could Real-ID join existing groups on a PvP realm and get grouped in the same PvP zone. Could be a great tool for large-scale organised PvP events!

I'm interested to go this see live. Curious how it will work. Say a P2P from a PvE server like AP Real-ID joins a group on a PvP server, gets into a PvP zone, get's passed lead and invites F2Ps. Do this twice and you have two mixed-server raids in the same PvP zone and an opportunity for cross server PvP. :O

Indeed, not sure how it will work and if different types of realms could be linked this way. Hope the Beta guys can clear this up when it launches on the beta ^^ But it sure could work as a hangout place for twinks too

Aw, not really a double post as it is really interesting for this section as we can't do Real-ID team ups. Many people don't read other sections. I thought about reposting it too, so more F2Ps would see it. ^^

I'm really curious how these clusters will be formed, whether it'll be Battlegroups, smaller server clusters or fluent demand-oriented server linking.

Even just hanging out with people would be great! I miss all the people I haven't gotten to see PUGs lately, for example I'd love to be able to hang out as Yde with Rhaellia, Tkatii, Arcah, Klinda, Krenistus and others at the same time. But I'm guessing six servers might be pushing it.

I'm guessing that the realms will be grouped based off their BG.
