Twinking in MoP

Looks like level 80 twink healers could potentially go the way of the dinosaur. Currently on beta, level 80 casters have 18k mana to play with. So unless you're regen mad like me on my druid, you're screwed.

Made a quick video on my mage comparing burn times with fire and arcane between live and beta.

The new arcane rotation is funky, took some getting used to, and I'm not even sure I'm doing it correctly.

Ps. Excuse any fuck ups especially on the beta, going from 40ms to 150ms sucks.

not too bad of a difference. you made it 6mins as fire on live, 4mins on beta. and healers should have a lot more regen than a mage

Healers get +400% mana from being specced healer. Just saying

The 18k is the +400% mana. :p

Photo Album - Imgur - Level 85 mage and level 85 druid healer. If it's like that at 85, it will be the same at 80.

PS. I know my druid has 102k mana and I can't figure out why it does that, it's 100k with feral gear. *shrug*

Ah. And it's the meta gem that does that.

Well, I can imagine the regen from spirit will be boosted rather a lot.

how? just looked through the mop mage stuff and didnt see any talents/abilities that increased a mages mana pool by 400%
any way it ends up, im sure they're going to make sure mana pools and regen are balanced by the time the game launches

I certainly hope it'll be fixed by the end of the beta, 18k to 100k in 5 levels is a little extreme considering the content in Wrath can be just as hard to heal if not harder to heal on certain heroic modes.

Ideally I want to level a healing monk from at least 1 - 80 in the beta, currently level 5... And when I start getting levels and a mana bar I'll let you guys know what the static mana is gonna be throughout. If it goes from 18 - 100k in 5 levels, I hate to think what level 70's will have to put up with. 10 - 12k perhaps, then 60 twinks doing AQ40/BWL with what? 4k mana?

I can imagine that regen will be boosted to compensate (since it's only spirit doing it now), and that spell costs will also be compensated. 18k mana with 0 regen equals ~16 divine light casts. I can happily do nearly 50 with 0 regen now. Gear is supposed to make chain-casting easier. Given wotlk, content, I doubt it'll end up being unplayable.

Hope you're right.

Intellect is tailoring, not leatherworking, that's likely the reason.
