    Holy fuck.

    Honestly, if I can see them on the armory, they'll go on the list. Whilst most of those chars are likely ex-mains or something, They are still 80s. If there's enough care for competition on the list they'll get replaced anyway.

    Edit: Aaaaaaand the list has been completely replaced. Gonna paste Dimsal's original list here, and will probably expand to top 20, since there's apparently a lot now.

    I'm also considering splitting it up into clear twinks vs old chars. Thoughts?

    I'd support having two separate lists tbh, or even three is necessary. If there's a list with characters created after it's era then it will most likely motivate some players to get more achievements.

    Here's how I see it:

    List #1 - Twinks created after it's era (In cataclysm at some point at earliest)

    List #2 - All active twinks, irregardless of when the twink character was created (A list with active lvl 80's overall)

    List #3 (if needed) - Absolutely all characters, active and inactive. (As long as they are viewable on armory, that is)

    Just what came to me when you mentioned the idea of separating into multiple lists.

    This does sound like a good idea. I will likely have to make each successive list bigger as it goes on (say...top 10, top 20 then top 25? going by those 3 categories). It does seem like an idea though, I'll give a thought to how to decide activity (probably by change in HKs, arena matches, or bosskills since all are tracked.

    My original thoughts were to have two lists. Ones for definite twinks (active recently, kills on cata content, perhaps using cata gear/enchants etc although this isn't definite), and one for the high-achievement characters (like some of which Aelobin linked). A lot of the 80s that are on that list are going to be there for a while, since 10k+ achievements takes time to obtain, even if you start with 8k or so (leveling from 70, or simply picking up an old main with the intent to twink it). I've a feeling the current list will stay the same as it is now for a long time, character-wise.

    Just think it's wrong that you're ranking pets/mounts etc from those that are in top achi pts, seeing as I have more mounts/pets than anyone on that list.

    We're in the process of trying to sort it out by making multiple lists if possible, we just need to actually decide. :D
     
    Updated, you have a mounts/pets list now dimsal. Now also top 20 players, to allow more twinks (10k+ achievements is still rare)

    Can someone else request a sticky? I'm having no dice atm (probably sent it to the wrong person :D)

    This. The only reason it isn't prettier (along with the BiS list as badly progressed as it is), is that I've been away over the last weekend, and just couldn't find the at-keyboard time to fix it. All will come in the next couple of days, don't worry :D
