Gear Requirements for Herald.

Hey there,
I've recently leveled a char up to 80 to twink it a bit and acquire the Herald title before moving towards 85.
However, I'm kinda uncertain about how much gearing is actually needed.
I've read through the BiS lists stickied here, and a lot of that gear is from Ulduar.
I'll be going for this title on a warrior, most likely as tank, and was wondering if you need the full BiS or how low can you go on overall itemlevels?
My guess would be you'd need somewhat close to the 226 gear and 323 weapons, but with my luck I wont have that gear before the end of MoP, so I was hoping I'd be able to farm the icc dungeons on normal for 219 gear, but as mentioned early I'm not sure if that will cut it.

I can see how it'll be easier to get invite and such as full BiS, but if it would be possible to acquire the title with less, then I'd probably prefer that.

So long as your weapons (mainhand, offhand, ranged) aren't higher than ilvl 232 and your armor (all other slots) aren't higher than 226, then your gear is elligible for Herald. Doesn't matter where it comes from, it just has to meet those ilvl requirements.

Having 219 average ilvl would be enough to succeed.
 
do not look at the average, each slot needs to be 226 or lower, except for weapons, having a few icc 25 hardmode items, and having the rest items slots naked, will not meet the reqs

I joined a heral run tonight and a lot of people had ilvl 200 - 213 and 219 gear, we however managed to get algalon down after the third pull.

So yeah forming a group is quite easy, i suggest you use both mmo and wow official forums ( achievement section ) and you should be able to get a grp quite quick, problem comes by picking a time and day that fit most.
 
Guys....OP seems to know the required gear lvl. He's asking if he could tank it and survive with a lower lvl. And yea, you probably can. But make sure you're fully gemmed and enchanted if you're going in with lower gear, make sure you know the fight, and make sure you're a good tank.
the closer you get to BiS the better off you'll be, especially as a tank on a fight like alg. But you can get helped by geared healers n such if needed anyways

Probably easier to get dps gear off vendors/dungeons n do it, but either way just make sure you know the fights and have gems/chants and you'll find a group

p.s. a good way to gear up is lead 10m achievement/drake runs in ulduar. Even if you think you have bad luck you'll gear up pretty quick
