Give me rogue tips and tricks please!

I am looking for tips and tricks for the lovely rogue class. I know nothing really about rogues, so don't be afraid to share really basic stuff! I figure this will be the fastest and easiest way to acquire such knowledge. I realize it will take practice and all that jazz to really succeed, but it never hurts to be prepared. :p

obviously, know how to strafe :j
use thrown weapons (not guns) to smack totems and interrupt bandages
google "Shadowstep focus macro", learn to use it to shadowstep + focus kick healers.
if you know somebody (particularly a mage) saw you stealthing, try not to run in straight lines, you have no idea how many times i've been able to anticipate where a rogue would be, because i saw him stealth as he came out of the corner.
when stalking an efc that you cannot solo, try not to "hang about", SO many rogues just sit around and wait for help, right beside the defenders, however it increases your chances of getting busted by like 700%..
chug plenty of thistle tea, its priceless..

Read the "19 PvP player tips" sticky thread which is found a bit above this thread. Also watch a lot of pvp vids for handy tricks, even if it isnt a rogue vid. Don't gy farm.

Seriously, i'm not a pro at rogue nor in the 19s, but here's what I think.

The best rogues I went across, were those who used a maximum of their abilities in the most situational way.

Using your kick at the right moment is the key against caster, you really don't want to get fake-casted (Most great players are awesome Fake-Caster).

I think it's simply a question of well-timing your spells, knowing all your spells, knowing how to back-strafe properly, and you'll be good.

P.S: Try to find a friend that is a really good fake-caster and duel him and work on your kick/gouging ability, it's really going to help you at getting better ^^

Another thing that helps - read up on all the other class guides, the ones that detail how to play the class. If you understand how the other classes work, you'll know which spells and abilities are best to kick/gouge and other means of CC and interrupting. I play rogue at 85, and I had trouble with frost mages, so I rolled a frost mage to 85 and learned how they work. Probably not the most practical way to do it, but it worked. Only the best frost mages give me trouble now, and it's rare.

Long story short, know your class as well as you can, but know your enemies' classes just as well. I often imagine dueling the class 1v1 and work out scenarios on what they'll do, how I'll counter, how they'll counter, etc.

edit: more info

Another good resource that helped me infinitely on getting better at rogue was watching and playing with this guy. Not only applying it at 39, but watching and learning from one of the masters of the rogue class helped in every bracket. My rogue hero, Brumble:

I feel like he's mastered rogues in a way that very few can come close to. This is part one of three, you can find the rest on his channel.
