Survival or Beast Mastery?

Survival has so much more damage, doesn't even matter what talents you choose. They Aldo get a flat 15% stam boost which is huge. Beast Mastery isn't great, tbh. Your pet does slightly more damage, and you have a stun, which admittedly rocks. However, I've been survival for as long as I can remember, and it's always worked for me. I'd say survival but you can do whatever you like.

As a survival huntard, your going to have a hard time taking down decent healers, this is where intimidation comes in from BM. If all your worried about is doing top on the charts, go surv. If you want to be able to kill heals with ease and play a nice roll in defense, go BM. Not to mention, any huntard that goes BM will get some recognition because they didn't go surv.

Not rolling a hunter at all is your best bet :) But i've noticed on a personal level that survival does more "in your face damage" although i have to admit as a healer a good bm hunter with a moth does scare me a bit :)

To be honest, ES scares me more than Intim on my healers.

This post is so wrong its not even funny. As survival if whoever you're trying to kill survives your focus dump you probably won't kill it, while as bm you tend to not have this issue because of how much more damage Kill Command does then Explosive shot and how much less focus it costs. Also, hunters don't need the stamina (unless you're fcing like Felix).

People will continuosly say that survival is better because it does more damage, as if hunters even need more damage. I'll take the extra stun thanks.

Survival is the overall better spec for BGs. However for duels/arena, I prefer BM usually (BM focus dump is still terrifying)
And for the lols, you should get yourself a cat. Kill command from stealth hits like rogues' ambush, lol. On ungeared people, I get 800's with it (no bezerking).
And def go MM sometime aswell, its not very strong (relatively lol), but when it works out, you 1 shot geared full hp people, which is hilarious.

Um actually this post is so wrong. Focus does regenerate. You can kite endlessly, your saying you only have one chance to kill things.

Also kill command is physical damage mitigated by armor and can be dodged or parried not to mention your pet has to be on their asshole. Even then explosive shot still does more damage.

And saying that any class should not pick up free stamina to go along with insane damage is just... Well I won't say

But sorry mate, you are wrong.

Kill command really doesn't cost that much less focus, nor does it do more damage. Not even close. Additionally, serpent sting is much improved as a survival hunter, allowing you to spread a lot of damage in a crowd if you wish to. Saying that any class does not need stamina in pvp is downright foolish. If someone doesn't die from a focus dump, then they are still unable to do much. Scorpion charge and clench can make short work of a melee opponent, and scatter shot into a steady shot will allow me enough focus to finish someone off most of the time.

All serpent sting is good for is breaking scatter/monkey, if you're kitting you don't need the stamina (although I would take it over the serpent sting damage increase) , you can get the scorpion as bm, and if they can heal competently then you won't be able to finish then in a scatter>steady>arcane shot (which would hit harder as bm btw), and kill command does cost that much less focus and does deal as much damage as explosive shot. If one tick of explosive shot crits it will hit harder then a noncrit kill command, but if a kill command crits it will hit about as hard as if all of the explosive shot ticks (depending on armor, as baffi said) and your pet automatically paths behind the target 90% of the time so it won't be dodged/parried.

Ok, well I'm not going to create a wall of text to argue again. I've stated my case, you've stated yours, I'll just let the OP decide.
