Mindthrust bracers... *sigh*

Infernal13

Legend
The difference between MT bracers and crystalline cuffs is as follows:
Mindthrust: 3 stamina, 4 intellect, 3 spirit, 29 armor
Crystalline: 3 stamina, 3 intellect, 2 spirit, 25 armor

Is it worth it to endlessly farm SFK for these? I am rolling a mage, so the spirit benefits me very little. Basically I want these for the +1 intellect and the fact that I can rest in peace.

Also, does anyone know about what chance you have of seeing these drop per run? Thanks in advance!

The ivycloth is better for mages because they have 1 more armor.

Ivycloth drop in both Stocks and BFD as well. You can also farm rare mobs. On that note, groups that I was in now have seen Ring of Precision, 4/5 Ivycloth of the Eagle (Stam) and Mindthrust Bracers all in one day. My abilities as a lucky charm are evident!

i personally wouldn't "farm" them. You're going to keep going in there enough over your toon's life (other gear, patterns, rep if you don't have it all, DMF drops, dungeon finder gold, etc) that you'll end up seeing them sooner or later.

i would very very very roughly guess that there's about a 0.5% chance of seeing them drop per run. the best drop rate is from the fetid ghouls at 0.1%...and there's, what, 4 of those? the drop rate from everything else is much lower and may add up to 0.1% or something.

If you are alliance you can also go this way:

Bracer: Hovel Digger Band
Grand Staff of Jordan: Grand Staff of Jordan

This would mean 4,88% hit against 20's.
You would loose 2 stam compared to Mindtrust/Ello's band. But you would get 3 more spellpower and 45 mana.

This only count's when you go LFH or WBFH and not ingi head (hit rating).

As horde i wouldn't "farm" Mindtrust. I would rather "farm" rare mobs for the Ivycloth. There are a lot of rare mobs with a very short respawn timer (check wowhead.com).

Cheers

Right, but lets be honest. Most us want BiS to be BiS. I could play my holy paladin at a higher level than 99% of the holy paladins out there with 800 HP, that doesn't mean I want to do that.

Yes. Join the club. But I wouldn't bother farming for them until you have nothing better to do.

This seems irrelevant.

I've actually taken the trouble to get an AGM and armor kits on my druid...but not the bandit cape... >.<
