i see, i figured with cheetah minor speed would be less widely used but i still see scenarios where it would be useful ( going up tunnel/ running around inside base)
is the use on the boots really THAT viable? i had a 24 rogue with them about a year ago and they malfunctioned a lot, only time i used them was right before i picked the flag id use them then swap them off.

heres a set i built aroudn not having BoA helm and keepning minor speed. the stats arnt nearly as sexy as yours though :/

swap monkey rings for agi version >_<

They're pretty nice to have, but not having them makes it so you have to sacrifice other pieces with crit on them to meet hit cap of 15. It's pretty drastic change in stats not getting the 10 hit just from boots, the only positive thing I see from it is, you will end up having more stam from it. But we've found with kings, fort, and rum, you'll have around 2.2k in my set, which is more than fine for hunters in this bracket.

Your set looks nice, that's probably the best way to get hit cap without helm, and holding onto minor speed.
Only thing I might say to get more crit, since you're a bit low, maybe go Wicked Dagger over outlaws, just for the crit/agi.

It's beautiful combination of Crit/Int while meeting hit cap is against your religion, so you feel the need to stab it to empower your brothers that have come before you?

It's a beautiful combination of you need to be ally to get this, need to be horde to get that, you need to do this quest twice, and hayy sup ~
;<

Yes, outlaw sabre is horde only... if you don't want to spend money on a faction change then I suggest you go for the BoE hammer

Also side note, with the rogue why not go for a set up like this?

You lose 8AP and 1.35% crit but you gain 210 hp, I suppose it's a preference thing really but it just seems such a nominal sacrifice for gaining just over 200hp

Edit: Also thought I'd mention that the reason I went for the scarlet kris over Bangalash's claw was for the extra speed on the OH wep

Just had a second look and realised you didn't have agi enchant on boots so its actually 2.39% and 28 ap less with my build, but even so thats like a 1% dps loss for a 15% survivability increase

Resto shammy, u say why?
well for starters ^-- this set has more armor, more spell crit and more mana also more haste only losing 100 health, while gaining 3% crit and 2% more haste. now with alchemy as a profession... u can make elixirs of wisdom which if you are alchemist give u 11 intell making u have 3k mana and 2k health when u drink rumsy and use your 42 stam elixir and you can also use the 5 stam from the inscription profession. Also, if you look at the mana gen and the armor it is also higher in this set.

It's an interesting set, and I'm sure it could work fine in most situations, just a few things that stand out.

1. It's not hit capped, for BiS against other 24s, most players prefer to be hit capped. There has been multiple discussions on this thread regarding the topic, so I'd say it's up to the player. I will say, having a frost shock miss could be the difference between keeping the efc from capping and giving you time to repick, or a loss.

2. The choice between Hu'rala Slippers and Acidic Walkers is one that many people have debated, but I feel that for, holy paladins and resto shamans specifically, your crits are what makes your heals. So it's a choice between more crit, or more SP, imo in your set by disregarding hit, you mine as well go with Hu'rala, since you're already at 23% spell crit, mine as well try to bump that up to a solid 25% by switching a few pieces.

3. Certain professions, such as alchemy, is more unique to the situations you see yourself playing in. Most premades, basing this judgement off of other brackets with regular premades, have a restriction on consumables, such as elixir of wisdom. Now if your intention isn't to premade, or you know that the opposing team will allow consumables, I could see alchemy being a viable profession, in which case the point you bring up is valid, even allowing for you to use say an elixir or minor accuracy, and meet hit cap. I will say that the sets I made were made to be used in premades, with rules that have been set in many other brackets, so alchemy as a viable profession was not something I expanded on.

And just so it's not a double post, I did see your second post, and if a rogue or two opens up on you, how wouldn't getting the frost shock off on melee help you get out? Some would say that could be the difference between ranging far enough to get a cast off, or messing up the cast and getting kicked.

Thank you though very much for the contribution to the thread, if you have any thoughts on the other chardevs let me know :)

Hopefully tonight will be making some pretty significant changes to many of the DPS sets tonight, been testing out new items/enchants with different sets and we're liking the results!

Updated! Including spell pen now in many different BiS sets, done testing with the average amount of resist that most players would have in a premade, and with spell pen every classes DPS increased.

Has anyone bothered making non-BoA gear guides for this bracket? If not I was thinking I might do it myself because it seems most people in the bracket don't have access to BoAs right away or etc.
