Soloing Northrend isn't hard, it's just freaking enormously time consuming.
Appart from some totally retarded guys, flying around for hours isn't free.
Like I said, when I completed explorer we couldn't get Flying mount in Azeroth, so it took a while, since most of the place were just 1-3little discovery spot per zone. Had to take FP and all that crap.
After that Northrend probably took an hour or 2. 5k was a good price. There was no Vial Of Sand, so only those with the RaF mount could help me out, and back then, almost no one had it. So I had, not only find someone with it, but someone willing to help me out.
And for Cata Zone, I was just plain unlucky at finding good people and I had fun walking/corpse running to some zone

My second account IS my R.A.F. one. So my main account (my achievement Hunter, not the 10) got the rocket. The best I have on the second account is a 71 Pally without epic flying because he's a profession mule tbh. But I've thought about doing another RAF from that account to a 3rd (just for the duration to get the rocket) so both my accounts have the rocket. Unfortunately I work 50+ hrs/week so do not have the time to play enough to make the gold to buy the dragon which are on my Realm like 65K. And I refuse to purchase gold because after all this is a game and Blizz makes us pay enough for every little thing (why I haven't done my faction changes yet).
