what is this herald of the titans thing people are posting about... I am new to the bracket..

U can find herald of the titans in achieve window - PvE - WotLK i think, self explanatory from there.

actually herald is a FoS now (feat of strength) so i dont think you'd be able to find it in the achieve window....but it is on wowhead.



basically you have to go to ulduar and kill algalon with only 80s in the raid, on 10 man, and using gear no higher than ilvl 226 (except weapons, those can be ilvl 232)

if you can do all that, where the "hardest" part should just getting the drops you want, you get rewarded with your FoS and the title "%n, Herald of the Titans"

I dont know about now but IMHO pre cata the hardest part was algalon.

algalon is definitely not the hardest part of herald anymore. iirc the 1 hour time limit was removed from him so you have unlimited time to wipe if you suck and cant learn a pretty simple strat.

dps can wear sub-BiS gear and still put out enough to beat the enrage timer. tanks and healers should still get close to fully geared though, at the very least tanks since he hits hard and fast. not that farming gear is hard, but just the rng can make it "harder" or delay you longer than the actual boss fight will

with new cata food/flasks and use of cata enchants from professions (scribe shoulder enchant) really isnt as hard as it was back at 80 before cata was released. also did this recently on my 80 hunter, really hardest part is finding 10 people to do it.
