Secret to farming +2 Standard Scope

Thanks. Yeah, I have eyepatch, hogger's trouz, and ello's band.
I can figure this out on my own once i get there, but: 2 haste trinkets? or inherited insig? eventide bow for the stam or naga for dmg? I'll probably go farm for crystals of vitality too.
btw, yes, great guide! I only made a hunter b/c i hated getting killed by them all the time and I wanted to see if it was as easy as everyone said. Now I play it, but I don't put as much effort into hunting as i do mages or whatever. But this guide inspired me to learn more.
Although now there's an influx of lots of hunters again, so maybe back to paladin.

i got my 2 scopes : the 1st in my first box, tho i open the second in the first floor, the 2nd in another run, opened 2 boxes, reset instance, rinse and repeat, got it in the first box, got greedy and went for the other box...nothing, but 2 scopes in 6 boxes i think is a pretty good ratio. if you own CABB please use it, Naga Heartpiercer has high agi, but no hit, so CABB is your best bet, of course i used a tenacity pet.

I tought i poste some update on this one as i used to farm it before patch 5.0 and after that too.So here are my toughts about soloing Gnomeregan for the +2 scope:
1.The 2pack mobs you cant separate-pull anymore,they are tied together.Bummer.
2.The 3rd box is soloable as well.Haven't tried the 4th yet,but will go for it,and post it in an update,if its possible.
Here is what i did to get to the 3rd box:
After i soloed the first 2,i tought i'll venture more deep inside to see,how far i can get.
There is a 3pack on the first floor,that i had to take out,to reach to the lower level(Dormitory).
I sent my pet in(Bear),got aggro on all 3 with thunderstomp,then pulled the melee one,kited him back to the location of the 2nd box.
Meanwhile my pet died(with the melee mob toghether),and i just pillar-kited the casters.
Was pretty easy,just kept serpent sting on both,and hid behind the pillars when they started to cast.
Then i went down the stairs to the Clean Zone.
Pro tip: here are some caster npc's,who give you stamina buff,if you fight next to them,which you can't avoid anyway,if you consider going further into the Dormitory.
There are 2 or 3 2packs,and a loner patrol that i took out,and i ventured deeper to see if there is a box in the alcoves.Now there is an alcove on the 2nd "floor" right opposite the entrance with a 3pack.
I sent my pet in, who gained aggro,while i looted the box,and got away with the loot
Did this run 2times,1st time i got the +1scope,2nd time i got the +2. My hit gear had a 15.71%,my hp was 1.8k.
Happy hunting and good luck farming the 3rd box,as it is tough as shit to get there,but worth, believe me

Has my post "how to farm +2 scope faster" been forgotten? You do not need to kill mobs to get it... maybe 1 or 2 if you mess up... and you NEVER tank with your pet in gnomer, you kite (so use the cat). And it is not worth it to ever get more than 2 boxes there solo. you litterally get the 1st 2 within 1 minute, jump off, run in run out, reset, and do it again... you can get 2 boxes every 2 minutes or so if you do it right.
got my first standar scope before the looms got upgraded so just popped it on my hartpiercer now im using the loom gun and i need another -_- is it really worth it or is it just something we hunters do just to call ourselves BIS

Seriously though, you should be thanking me for saving you and other twinks countless hours of farming boxes that have a 0% chance of containing the +2 scope. The drop rates on Wowhead are merged between all the boxes, so the actual chance of getting a +2 scope is much higher than reported by Wowhead, assuming you are farming the boxes in Gnomeregan that actually contain a chance at the scope in the first place. After wasting a great deal of time farming the boxes in Bloodmyst Isle, I came up with this theory and began farming Gnomeregan. I noticed right away that the boxes in Gnomeregan dropped higher-level engineering items (e.g. [Bronze Tube] instead of [Copper Tube], and [Heavy Blasting Powder] instead of [Coarse Blasting Powder]). While the boxes in Gnomeregan can still contain the lower-level engineering items, I only found a single +1 [Crude Scope] before opening a box with the enigmatic +2 [Standard Scope].
While I'm sure you "hate" me for other reasons too (such as having 2 AGMs, 2 titles and a [Sea Turtle]), you should hate me a little less for sharing this little secret. After all, I could've just kept it to myself and LOLd at those continuing to farm boxes in The Deadmines and Bloodmyst Isle! I was even encouraged by people in F2PChat not to share since "hunters are already too powerful".

But for "True Twinks" who roll vanilla esq-trial account twinks#1 Passing mounts to your alt is an abuse of true twinking(only stuff you can get at 20 should be applied) no high level enchants, pets, accessories,mounts, toys and what not. It shows you have a high level somewhere and who knows what you are getting from it to give to yer lowbie.
#2 for just plain old premium account twinking this is fine.
