Bye bye Transmogs for F2Ps

Woah wth, imagine if f2p gets stripped down crazy. @Crystalpall we need you

loading the patch rn, have they done away with our formerly present xMog?

If this isn't the shortest straw, Blizz is speed running it's way to it... at least for me.

Trial of Style will have a specific outfit slot that will allow for free transmogs for that outfit slot only, and is removed once the event ends. So no more free transmog for anyone.

Currently all transmog prices are priced for max level characters regardless of the character's actual level. Don't know if this will be fixed or not, but every now and then some of my characters get prices appropriate for their level and I fill up my outfit slots for cheap. No clue how or why the transmog prices become pre-patch prices, but if for some reason you see cheap transmog prices take that opportunity to just transmog all of your outfit slots.

" I know! Let's make xMog cost a fuckton of gold?! They'll LOVE it! "

Simple pleasures, out the window....

I don't even think I'm going to log in until they unfuck this.

Yeah I just found out if you use your two slots to do your transmogs in stages you can make your transmog with the 1000 gold cap. Still sucks though.

What defines the final cost though - for me it was around 100 gold each time since first day
I don't think anyone really knows ATM.

I'm on a Vet account, and I could unlock 7 total outfits (8th slot costs 2000g).
Most of the time transmogging a full outfit for me costs over 1000g, but occasionally the price to do it is under 100g. I don't know what triggers the lower price, but when it did show up I was able to go through a few of my alts with the lower price. It's happened to me twice as well. Can only hope that the price becomes level adjusted again, instead of the max level price being applied at all levels.

Something else I've learned is that outfits will transmog multiple different weapon types at the same time as well, so that's were some of the hidden costs end up as well if you click through different custom sets (which is why even if it looks like you have nothing transmogged there's still a price to apply the outfit).

TLDR: One free Transmog coming with the 12.0.1 update.
While that's good, it's so frustrating to read "This was an oversight on our part". HOW??? How could they overlook this?!

It's all just so god damn sloppy what they do...

every now and then some of my characters get prices appropriate for their level and I fill up my outfit slots for cheap
That's also good to read. I've not encountered it yet, but only finished transmogging one character.

Aaaaand there's the sloppy again.

Remember, they thought this wasn't expensive enough. They wanted to make you buy each outfit slot per character, totaling over 800,000g to get them all. Once they figure out the bug that makes them cheaper sometimes, or more likely someone posts it on reddit, there will be another emergency shutdown to fix it.

Malice or incompetence, not sure which it is at this point or which would be worse.

a one time free tmog will not fix the problem, when tmogs are still 1000G+ for me cost foes as high as 1700g for a level 10 war, that is for a MECHAGNOME that has gloves, bracers, legs, boots, not mogged and not shown, a helm or goggle change alone costing 500G

I had the price randomly decreased to pre-patch levels again. Took the opportunity to transmog up the rest of my alts when it happened.

Still no clue what caused it, but I was doing various instance and alt swapping at the time.
