main stat vs mob scaling question

I apologize in advance if there-s a thread already, but I havent been able to find one, except some in 10's forum, that described it in a way i couldn't confirm ingame. As a 20, f2p, do bosses and mobs in dungeons scale with my main stat, and if so, has anyone covered what that means fo gem'ing and enchanting? seems that main stat gems/enchants would be less good compared to ver/mas/crit/haste if this is the case.
If it's covered in another thread a link would be fine, and thx in advance :)

The scaling you’re probably referring to is limited to time walking dungeons only currently. Regular dungeons and content do not have this progressive main stat scaling.

The method for timewalking optimization is approximately the same as 10s, just reduce your main stat on as many pieces of gear as possible, while introducing more secondary stats. Damage procs from enchants and trinkets I imagine would also work nicely here.

As for me, I don’t have a dedicated time walking set, I have found that even though I can reduce my main stat down to very low numbers, Its still faster for me to complete a dungeon in my regular set which maximizes main stat.

IMO as a 20 I wouldn’t worry too much about timewalking cheese sets, unless you’re planning on exclusively running TW dungeons.

Thank you for the quick answer. It was the "TW" part i had missed. I'm not doing tw that much, so it would appear this is not a thing I need to consider. Again, thx!!!!

Turbulent Timeways will be starting on Dec 2 and will last for 2 months, so it might be something you want to consider.

The softcap for main stat at level 20 is 162 which is pretty easy to stay under. This can probably be done in most cases by using trinkets/rings/necklace that don't have main stat.
Going as low main stat as possible is only really a consideration if you're tanking or soloing a TW dungeon. If you stack a lot of main stat as a tank, you will see your health get taken out in chunks; and if you go way overboard whoever your healer is might have a hard time keeping you alive.

I did some testing awhile back in regards to TW scaling which can be found at https://xpoff.com/threads/some-twing-stat-testing.102719/ which does have a little bit of level 20 testing.

Basically for me the lower the main stat the faster bosses went down. Except in the case of my warrior being in prot spec, which I theorized suffered from rage starvation because I was taking so little damage I gained next to no rage to fuel DPS.
