How do you get the better gear in BFA timewalking ?

    • I’ve run Timewalking a couple of times over the past few days on my level 14 character, and there’s one drop that has significantly higher primary stats (13 agility and 15 stamina) than the rest. I’ve only gotten one piece like that — the others all have much lower stats (7 agility and 10 stamina). Does anyone know how to get more of the higher-powered gear?

    occasionally the stat budget is just off on items (or groups of items). For example, most of the cata-tw gear just has less stats than the same pieces in other weeks. This is likely a budgeting discrepancy on the devs part, but i dont know whether the left is under budget or the right is over, off the top of my head. If it werent for the cata drops id say "well if theres only one standout, it must just be fluke, and the majority are probably right at budget" but cata stuff is definitely just underbudget overall, so maybe bfa is too. I've only gotten 3 pieces but they all seemed comparable to stuff I was wearing already, so maybe you just won the lottery on that one.
     
    Ironically the lower primary stat gear is currently better for TWing due to how health scaling works.

    Though good to know that the itemization is a bit weird for BFA gear, will need to keep and eye out for the stat differences.
     
    my findings after many days, only 1 dungeon drops this unusual gear, Waycrest Manor, last boss. I tried on several other characters of different lvl, it too gives unusually high primary stat for the chest piece.
     
    If the dungeon journal wasn't botched, we could have more answers. Sethraliss dungeon also drops the (previously)azerite gear. One item I have personally seen is Brood Cleanser's Amice. It might be all dungeons' final bosses! Happy hunting!

    is it only that chest, or other amor types too from that boss

    all the other drops are not having this extraordinary stats .. they are all "standard" primary stats .. this piece is unusual .. only from this boss, it is unusual no matter what your character lvl is, it will be unusual for that lvl, meaning on my lvl14, that chest piece has 13 agility 15 stamina, while all other chest pieces in bfa give only 7 agility and 10 stamina, regardless azerite gear or not. and on a lvl17, it will be 15 agility and 18 stamina, which is again almost double all the chest pieces primary stats dropped in BFA timewalking
     
    So is this only Waycrest Manor with those unusual stats? I just got the chest from the last boss of Sethraliss and it's unremarkable, unlike the dungeon journal preview. (8 str, 12 sta)

    Edit: I think this is fixed. I picked up the chest from last boss of Waycrest Manor and it's completely unremarkable.

    ahahahahahaha .. guess what, they rectified the stats, all my chest pieces on every characters are normal now lolololololol .. sigh, i shall refrain from posting stuff like this in future lololololol

    It was gonna get noticed either way.

    Honestly though, given how scaling works this gear seems strictly worse anyway.
