SL Avowed exalted pet and mount

i was able to grind Avowed faction rep rather easy imo. i was necro faction with 80 renown, switched to venthyr to make the purchase. was able to buy the pet, mount, and learn them.

there is a meta achieve for the cryptkeeper title, which i'm two elite kills from getting, when i used the epic sinstone on those elites they would one shot me.

How did you get the renown up? I didn't think we could use the token thing on a char under 40 or 50?

That's listed as requires level 50. But SL events hand out Renown like candy so I'm guessing WQs and callings will get you there without too much effort.

Wish i'd have known that https://www.wowhead.com/item=188167/broker-mark-of-distinction was a thing yesterday!
I just swapped to Kirian after having been 80R w/ Revendreth since SL was current content.
ATM I just got to 40 renown & haven't even done any maw or run any raids.
Would've saved me some time for sure though...

Yeah, this was more obvious if you played SL at the time. In 9.1.5 I think the Broker's Mark was Renown 40. Later (9.2?) it was R60.

I have so many toons that are Renown 80 in all 4 covenants because I farmed the dmaned Necroray Eggs. This was probably the worst mount farm Blizzard has ever done. The eggs come from doing certain callings, some of which you have to be Necrolord for, some you don't. Each chest has a small chance (<1%) to drop an egg. Each egg drops one of 3 mounts. You don't get duplicates at least.

I had to do nearly 600 callings to get the 3 mounts. I think I got the first in the first 50 eggs. The next took another 350-400. I was convinced it was broken.

Anyway, I digress...

looks like I might have to do more SL.

I can't be bothered farming all the SL mounts. WAY too many and way too much time to do them.

I will wait for a SL remix. If they think SL is so hated that people don't want that, they are wrong. It was hated because of the grinds. Let me be godmode and farm tokens off raids and buy all the mounts, and yeah, I'll be very happy.

doing dungeons, there also was a fill up the bar aiding each covenant quest. i was getting a renown some times on every WQ other times it took a few more. also the weekly two dungeon quests in oribos. once i did each zones aiding that covenant quest it gave renown, once i completed it WQ no longer gave renown. also got alot of renown doing daily torgast quest and doing runs for achieves

i did on another 10 get the aiding quests, then when they got close to completing, i would delete and restart the aiding quest again. that did not work to gain renown again off them.

blizz did something that nerfed the dungeon renown rewards, i was able to do PF get renown, reset, and repeat. can't do same dungeon over and over now. it was rather quick.

my 10 could not use the skip items sold at the vendor near the oribos FP

i did finish the meta achieve for avowed faction by getting tags on two final elites for the cryptkeeper title

legion had 121 which imo really ignited the mount farming craze along with a key streamer, BFA had 87 mounts, imo that is when even diehard collectors started to become strained and fall behind. SL had 172 mounts. alot of negative comments along with key streamers quitting with comments of there being too much, may have been the reason DF was chopped to 42? for TWW i saw a vid of 127 new mounts last year, not sure if that included all the new goblin mounts?

people who had the best success bought raid mount carries, and for places like maw/korth/zeren ran alot of alts.

SL is now easier to farm mounts, there are the skips, switching covs no longer has a penalty, reps are acct wide making 10000 rep satchel bags possible every 1-3 days if you are rolling alot of alts
