Super excited, but I think 300g buy-in is extremely high, especially since a lot of twinks are xfered from their mains server.

Glad to hear, looking forward to see what team you run! Anyone that has trouble farming 100g in 4-6 weeks they can pm me here on xpoff. I can give some ways to make gold on your 39 or I really don’t mind helping farming, 100g usually takes >2 hours of casual farming just lmk. I would like to keep the rewards real juicy for those that reach the final match

Whats that alice is giving away gold now :) shit sign me up for a weekly plan :p

I agree that 300g is way too expensive. Do we want people to gear up and have a good comp, or to win back that gold we spent on our characters?

My vote is gear up and toss in 20g each, and have a great tournament with as many teams as we can to promote 39's and teamwork.

Looking forward to it either way, but at 100g each toon i think you will find lower participation than expected.

I dont want people to be discouraged from joining if 100g is too much for most, it will be lowered down the line, ill leave the buy-in as "to be determined" for the time being. Lets see some teams

I feel like allowing Thorium grenades is a bad idea, the grenades have decent damage on them and a double grenade burst combo on a healer is a bit OP, if you want to use your iron grenades for the stun outplay that seems good enough, but allowing it will have people crutching on the extra damage output.

Healthstones have always been allowed to arena team members, though I know you're saying it's modified rules. I don't think anyone is going to roll a warlock in their group simply because they can get a lock rock. Stacking enough soul shards to last the whole tournament would be hard enough anyways since it's a best of three.
Are two rogues allowed say their different specs?

I wish me and sorrow could participate maybe we can get our alts lvled fast enough to have some fun, looking forward to watching at least

Somebody roll a solid spellcleave or hunter/rogue/priest and take these guys out^ :)
Edit: Triple dps idea: good ol RMP Rogue/mage/spriest or shaman

Rules will be tweaked closer to date, we will take that input into consideration. Our team is a typical knuckle dragging cleave team, open to any 3v3 practice anytime anyone would like, but RMP is a comp we have discussed that we do worry about. Thank you for putting it in plain sight haha

how do u even 3v3 in vanilla, go to diremaul or what :^]

wont you just get killed by random idiots like, all the fucking time in gurubashi

honestly I feel that this is a good idea, 20g buy in, this could be a thing we could do weekly for little competitions, could be good fun. also after a few competitions have gone by then we could make a big 100g buy in since everyone has had a feel of 3v3s!

I would encourage people not to worry about the gold buy in for now, make your teams so we can see what were working with and we can find a fair amount for everyone

its a possibility, although very unlikely. Greifers have been taken into account
im just saying that dm would probably be a much safer choice, altho i'd have to admit that i have none actual vanilla experience so im not totally sure about how often these places are frequented

Will I be able to join on multiple toons in multiple teams? Or am I locked to 1 team?

Anyways Frost mage / Hemo rogue hit me up if anyone’s after a team member.

For right now plan on one team. I'm aware some people have multiple 39's we could look at rules such as you could switch toons on your 3's comp as long as it is still the original players and it meets the criteria of the other rules, we will see down the line when more people sign up.
