WSG wall jumping? exploits, etc.

i have watched some of the youtube videos on this and still having no luck.

one area is the wood fence (middle area) outside that is above the tunnel entrance. i see both players from both sides run to that area, seems like a couple of hops and they are over.

i try to do this and have no luck, i have tried many different ways no luck. when i ask in the BGs to a team mates how they did that, no reply.

the highlight of this i saw this weekend when our FC went over the wall, 2 of us with him were unable to make it over, to top that the 2 rogues on him went right over the same fence and got him on the tunnel roof ledge. what was funny is our FC flamed BG chat with accusations of noobness, i again asked how he got over the fence....no answer....then player left BG.

is there a macro type jump for this, certain spacing, a straight jump, diagonal jump, etc. etc?

Just practice it a bit...there is a spot that allows you to move up on the fence a little bit...it is a little bit to the left of the large post in the fence that is almost directly facing the tunnel.

Just have to perfect the skill...takes a little bit of time.

it's not a macro- it's just something you (well, I've) learned to do. On the Silverwing side, it doesn’t even take a jump- just hug the wall. On the horde side (sorry- I don't know the faction- Alliance 4 life!) it's a bit more complicated, requiring a well-timed jump, but again, just takes practice. I’d recommend you spend time practicing in a WSG that you’re either loosing horribly or winning outright.

Now, the fence on the roof of the horde base is something else entirely- I’ve seen a few people get on the outside fo that one, and I have NO idea how they’re doing it ;P

BTW Shanker, I'm not sure your Signature is accurate anymore :D

if you're talking about the middle part of the fence, and jumping from the south side of fence to northside of fence, there's a little bit of ledge you can sort of walk on. if you keep running at the fence, hit the ledge properly, and jump, you should be able to make it up and onto the fence. it requires a bit of time to learn but it's relatively easy to do once you know how to do it.

if you want to learn how to jump onto the horde fence in different ways i have screenshots in my flag carrying guide, and Painaid's videos also show the same stuff (as well as tons of more content)

A pro player can kite whole teams using those fences.

I've only seen it happen once, but dude made me sit back and say "wow"

oh it's accurate.

example: devout aurastone hammer look at the stats at 19, find ANYTHING 1-39 that beats it stat wise.

no shoulders in 19, 29, 39, 49, 59 brackets available from drops/quests in game are on par with ANY BoA shoulder

BoA pvp trinkets (most)....none in game same as shoulders. what do PVP BoA trinkets have to do with helping a 80 quest up his player faster? if this was such a issue? there should be equivilents available for players with new accounts to earn on quests, drops, or made for use by a profession

i could go on and on...pointless

Blizz had feed info to MMORPG sites when the "twink" gear issue came up concerning BoA's etc. they basiclly said that BoA would not exceed any superior in game item. this is far from true. example in 39 and 49 bracket the caster BoA staff beats any superior or epic hands down. the stats are so good, that even with a pre-BC enchant they trounce the others with BC enchants

one of Blizz's rational for the massive nerfs on patch 3.1 was to even the playing field, so players didn't need a main to get librams, etc etc. with the BoA numerous items. yet they create gear only a 80 can get for their subs. i personally believe that the twink sub-culture is too small, yet they may be starting to realize it when players go into BGs now and still get overly owned. they look up the players and see trinkets they won't be able to get until they get a 80 and run PVE raids. then Blizz will realize how many endgame players twink.

imo....this should not be forced on any player especially when you sign up for a PVP server. Blizz has smacked everyone with their PVEness and said suck it....suck it good. i'm on mannaroth, once a great PVP server....now most play with Blizz's PVEness, other than a occasional player trying to get BG premades going and gets flamed, closest thing to PVP is city raids for the bear mount and WG. WG is mostly run to hope to get ownership so they can run the instances after.

so my signature is accurate :D

Rayekk you shouldn't be kidding, because most people with twinks should have a level 80 and be able to get BoA equipment. If you don't have an 80 and you have a twink you must suck.:D

or

prefer to play their twinks rather then spend days mindlessly grinding through extremely boring quests.

It's easier for bigger character models -i.e.- tauren and draenei. For other character models it is extremely difficult. This would explain why the FC in your particular game was able to glide right over it, and the rogues on him (probably night elf [also big character models]) were able to follow right after him. It's an entirely different (and harder) jump for, say, blood elves or undead than it is for tauren.

As are as the debate over only twink vs. part-time twink, I'd say your both right, so long as you both are having fun.

As many have pointed out, you don't have to have an 80 to twink, but it does make it a tad easier IMHO.
