Dorigon
Alpha and Omega
So, a couple of days ago, a twinking confidant notified me that there is a new website up called twinking.net. Ever the twinking enthusiast, I proceeded to go there and check it out. It turns out that it's a joint venture between Drayner and Inkobah, with a bunch of blogs up by Drayner but no forums or anything else. I clicked on a blog called "State of the Twinks June 2012" that was prominently placed on the front page. In this blog, Drayner spent considerable time talking about the 19s bracket. He mentioned that he has secretly played it the last couple of months. I took a moment to think to myself, who could he be? My mind immediately jumped to a certain warlock that recently entered the scene on alliance, named Daphane. This lock came out of nowhere, full with jutebraids, horde gear, etc. Daphane became active in the same timeframe that Drayner mentioned playing 19s again. Drayner spent multiple sentences in his blog raging about WT without actually referring to it by name, much like Daphane raged at WT on TwinkInfo. He says in the blog, "Of course, I was undercover for all this, but I am sure some of you knew who I was."
Now, where there's smoke, there tends to be fire, so I decided to investigate a bit deeper. Just as a background, Daphane was banned and his posts deleted from TI somewhere between a few days and a week ago. Twinking.net was made last year, but Drayner only started working on it again a few days ago, right around the time that Daphane was removed from TI. Again, this could be coincidence, but I believe myself to be on the right track.
There is one last piece of evidence, and since Daphane's posts were deleted, you'll have to trust me on this one unless someone remembers the post in question. Daphane was complaining in a thread about the state of 19s, and someone suggested he try 70s. He said that he already has a 70 twink, and linked a perfectly geared 70 night elf druid. Upon reading in to the 70s section of Drayner's blog, he said that he created a 70 druid and "turned him into a pretty damn good 70 twink".
I must say, all the pieces do fit together, much like a meticulously-crafted jigsaw puzzle.
