True, I bought 5 mounts for between 5-10k each. Hoping to resell in a few months for a nice profit.

Might wait 6-7 days when the market is flooded and buy a few. Markets are difficult to predict when an expansion is expected. Especially one with profession changes. Hard to say when the best time would be to try and resell would be.
I suspect they will go for about 13k-15k during off season though. I am hoping to purchase some for about 5-7k.

Yeah, and also apparently there was an exploit which caused the "Savage Gift" to be able to be sold back to vendor if you didn't loot the item, hence the market getting flooded during the early hours of the event.
About off season, I don't suspect that this mount will be obtainable again, so I don't think it can be compared with a Swift Lovebird.
