Winds of mysterious fortunes event

Hello all. I am a vet player who now only plays his unsubbed level 20 characters….more than one of every class, and most races…an altaholic I guess.
I want to know who might be taking advantage of the WoMF event mysterious chest opportunities.
I know it is a “leveling” event and unsubbed can’t level…BUT those loot bags have some nice things, including large bags, potions, and gear. Drops in DF, and in the Follower dungeons as well.

I will do a trial run when next I play, I farm cloth in DF to make bags so I’ll be there anyway.

I used it to max out the reputations that I could. Was interesting maxing out the Cobalt Assembly since it was my level 20 warrior vs level 30 mobs. I ignored the gear since it's rather low ilvl copmared to what you can get access to via dungeons. Had to vender the gear whenever it showed up since they don't disenchant.

Ye, super fast to level alts in DF. 20% xp bonus before Faire etc. Granted free can't exploit this to the full, but there are bags, purples, and reps and LW is great for pets, mounts, mats and chevies. Good times for pve twinking.

I went hard to this event last time to get all the tmogs. I ended u p with like 300 XP potions. This time I'm only doing it with one toon and only because it's new so the gear is an upgrade. I just haven't gotten around to farming gear otherwise yet.

It's worth adding that the 30 slot bags are only once per toon even though the bag is Warbound. I believe it's always the first satchel you ever get that has the bag too.

And for completeness about the quickest way to farm the bags is to queue for Ruby Life Pools as a Follower Dungeon. The first mob is an elite. The only annoying part is you have to leave Chromie Time to queue a fDF follower dungeon.

WoMF update. Spent some weekend time farming elites and cloth in Nokudon Hold Ohnaharan plains where all the centaurs are elites, but easier than dungeon elites.. The WoMF bags provided the 30 slot bag, just once per character, most of the potions are instant use buff, not put in bag. Some of the drops in purple bags were slight upgrades from dungeon gear, but not by much. Good for some quick gold, and there were other 70’s and 80’s farming too, not sure if they were leveling or not.

I guess after Tuesday I am going back to garrison followers….I’m at 16 followers on most 20’s, will need to swap medium bldg for Inn to keep going.

That spot is a notorious power leveling zone.
