Why do so many /afk out?

We run a 4-7 premade in Bloodhoof and sometimes the games are competitive and sometimes they're lopsided.

However, it seems like whenever we get up 2-0, Alliance players start dropping out of the game immediately making the 3rd cap uneventful. We never farm g/y or delay capping the flag, so I'm kind of curious as to why people would take a 15-minute debuff rather than waiting 2 more minutes for the game to end.
 
Just because YOU aren't farming doesn't mean the other people are not. Who wants to derp around in a game where it is not evenly matched. Nobody likes playing PuG against Premade.

Couple reasons for you right there.
 
This happens in 19s too, except that most of the AFKs are before or right after the first cap.
 
I /afk if there aren't enough 24s :)

where else am i going to rack up ridiculous damage
20s have like 1khp and get dropped like flies
however 24s can soak up all of my dots to their full duration :)
 
2 things:
- Pug Vs premade is not fun as the game is completely one sided.
- They afk out on one ftp20 then log on another toon and tag bg. That way you can go around deserter debuff

That only works if you play a horde char :(

alliance ques range from 9minutes - 15minutes
 
I never afk out. If i solo queue and see my team mates are not that strong, I just go kamikaze mode and try to kill as many as I can before they kill me. Res, rumsey and repeat.
 
i normally AFK out of a game when there is 1 minute left for 1 main reason...

I carried the team (most of the times) i almost got a victory so instead of getting a +1 loss to my record i will take a 15 minute debuff to assure that i do not requeue and end up with those same people that i get a loss with. (more than likely they will requeue end up together again and lose promptly).
 
Im a rogue , so I'll just stealth and start cherry picking people off that stray from the pack . Thats If I'm pugging solo and my team is getting farmed & when I die, just rinse and repeat. I won't lie, I'll go after heals or someone who hasn't died the entire game. I'm a Honeybadger.

The 19 players that afk out are moving into the 20-24. Potentially some good news is at any time Blizzard wants to they can surface the afk data in the armory that they have been gathering since WotLK.
 
If you get graveyard camped there is only one viable option, grab the enemy flag and go to their roof, wait until people come and practise your dueling skills (or play an ele shammy and just knock people off when they get to you over and over.) Since alot of players that are a part of graveyard farming will just stay in the graveyard you can expect some nice 1v1s and if the entire team goes after you eventually the gy wont get farmed anymore:). Just a fun way to a boring loss into a fun one.
 
I just afked out of a game because my team thought it was more fun to farm than end the game. I realize this bracket is f-d and only have a half ass toon here to queue up every now and then, but seriously. When you are telling your team to cap instead of farming and they start calling you an idiot there are serious issues.
