Why didn't all the twink brackets transfer to the same BG?

Instead, they apparently went to completely different battle groups. Why the segregation. (Some twinks have twinks in multiple brackets.)



19- Ruin

29- Reckoning

39- Nightfall

(This is just what I heard).





I think that all the twinks in all the brackets should transfer to the same battlegroup.



So for example you would have the 19s all the way up to the 69s/70s all in the Reckoning Battlegroup.
 
Maybe blizz should designate a "twink" Battlegroup, and then give out free transfers for twinks.



That way queues will be fast all the time. Throw in some rated arena's and battlegrounds while they are at it.
 
Blizzard and free never work in a sentence together.

More on topic from the grammar lesson above, I would assume that its because the majority of twinks in each bracket were already on separate realms prior to the decision to Xfer servers.
 
To answer the original question, the bracket separation happened because leadership for each bracket resided in different battlegroups.



Ideally all the twinks would have gone to one battlegroup, and there were several calls for that. But truly, it was a task beyond the reach of the newly-discovered-to-be-not-so-big twink community. Therefore, each bracket scrambled to save itself from extinction, and the leadership (i.e. the loudest voices and biggest promoters) of each bracket managed to corral enough twinks to a particular battlegroup to keep twinking alive and well.



That said, Ruin had the most success. In addition to the 19s, Ruin houses 49 arenas (not enough for BGs anymore, but hopefully they'll make a comeback), and has an active 59 twink community as well.

I think it doesnt really matter, are you in reckoning or something and don't want to transfer?
 
there still are other options i believe 4 battlegroups are still standing w/ ruin of course being the most populated. Blizz has stated they may keep the door open for battlegroup mergers etc. Also one of the annual "lets give em free transfers to a shitty realm that is almos dead" is coming up and that could be used to rebirth a new battlegroup fairly easily. My battlegroup vengeance is supposedly the 2nd most populated for 19s. The simple fact is some of us will not transfer because we have a home and friends where we currently are. Most of the transfers to ruin happened in groups not on an individual basis. It was both a good and bad idea. 2 brand new and yes horrendously unskilled and random twink guilds have popped up on my server. People still are making twinks. I'm not really sure where I was going with this lol, this is kind of a sum up of the situation from my perspective.

If you pay 15/month and you cant afford one payment of 25$ you should review what your spending your money on. Try instead of wow maybe houses and food, etc

But yea, if people can't afford to pay for transfers they should get out of their moms basement and get a job.
