Why Alchemy/Leatherworking?

I was just wondering what the reasoning behind a lot of twinks taking alchemy and leatherworking was? I am just getting into this bracket so I'm not sure why. Thank you.

I think becouse this bracket is highly inactive.
Alchemy used to be for the BiS Trinket and Leatherworking for the huge bracer enchant.
