Which dungeon for socketing rings now?

I ran Necrotic Wake on several of my 20's to double socket some rings. I have a few left to gear up and it looks like Necrotic Wake is no longer in the M+ rotation for TWW. I see that Theater of Pain is, and the first boss is easy to get to and drops a ring, but I tried to add the Magnificent Jeweler's Setting to it, and it said it couldn't be modified. Do I need to consider anything else? Thanks in advance. Also, on my latest alt, you can skip the whole walk around Oribos questline and choose a faction right away if you had previously unlocked it as a vet it appears.

The rings do not drop with sockets, you have to use https://www.wowhead.com/item=213777/magnificent-jewelers-setting to add sockets.
Each Magnificent Jeweler Setting allows you to add 1 socket, and you can add 2 sockets to nerotic wake rings.

Is this better than the Mechagon rings (with or without sockets)? If so, is there a reason to farm the Mechagon rings instead of NW rings and adding 2 sockets?

I guess my post wasn't as clear. Necrotic wake isn't in the new season 2 of M+, so it is dropping level 250 gear now, Theater of Pain is in the new season, but the ring I got couldn't be modified with the magnificent setting, i wonder if they fixed this in the latest patch.

Theater of pain is not currently in the M+ season though, Necrotic wake is.

Mechagon rings aren't really a thing on 20s because base dungeon drops ilvl84 so you just fish for socket procs on dungeon rings or use the double socket NW ones

Yep necrotic is dropping 252 ilvl for my level 11 warrior as well. Sucks. This timewalking rotation sucks this week too with all the mastery drops.

My bad, I am not sure why I thought they started the new season, haven't subbed in a while so I am not fully up on wowhead news, looks like Necrotic Wake rings just plain arent working any more, oh well.
