looks like rats and snails are wild and we have other turtles. I can't seem to find wild piglets though.

Animations:
Mr. Wiggles - Grazes on weeds and wiggles rear.
Whiskers the Rat - Grooms face, sniffs air, and wanders around. Also flips over and plays dead (rare).
Speedy - Looks around and bobs head. Also rears up and roars (rare).
Scooter the Snail - Idles about.


So snails model is better elaborated, but has no special animation.
And pet quest is repeatable - resets every year.

There are two orphans that Horde players can adopt during Children's Week, each with different quests. You can adopt both orphans (at the same time, even) and complete both quest chains and obtain two cute pets per year!

Really 2 pets ? Guide from wowhead .
